If these images are true, it looks like all 3 kits next season might be decent:

Those 3 kits remind me of the United kits of, I think, 2007-2008.  I loved those things.  Very simple, simple colors.

big fan of the black one.

Am I the only one disheartened by the complete whiff on the teed up joke?

California. Duh.
Mignolet, Johnson, Can, Lovren, Moreno, Allen, Lucas, Henderson, Ibe, Coutinho, Sterling.

Subs: Jones, Toure, Lambert, Manquillo, Borini, Brannagan, Markovic.

No Sturridge or Balotelli in the 18.

Lovren's calm, collected work in his own penalty area

I'll admit when I'm wrong on a player but good god was I wrong on him.

A Lost Time
I didn't follow the team as much as I did last year, but it seems to me that not getting into top four would correspond to the quality of the team.

There are two things that concern me for the future.

The first is whether Sturridge's injuries were a fluke or a permanent part of the landscape.

The second and more depressing is failing to get Alexis because he didn't want to play in Anfield. Alexis would have been a fantastic addition to our squad allowing us to have a magical pair of wingers across each other. But how can this team get over the hump and into the top tier of English football if great players won't come to Anfield because.... they aren't considered among the the creme of the creme? It will mean that will have to keep hitting jackpot with promising young players and I am not really sure you can have a 100% record with that.

Oh and a third one. Lovren has been indeed disapointing. It's like the innumerable year I can remember where our defense is subpar.

Especially since that game had absolutely no effect on where the title went last year.

I would have been happy to see Liverpool win the title last year. I was just needling JayMags about not dropping points to a team that has been at minimum a thorn in the Reds' side for the past couple seasons. All in good fun.

But certainly Suarez thought it had an effect.

The point was, if Liverpool had won that game 3-0, City still would have won the title. The loss to Chelsea meant City had to drop points somewhere, and they didn't.

Palace has been a thorn in Liverpool's side a lot longer than the last couple of seasons, although Liverpool's biggest ever top-flight win (9-0) did come against them in 89-90 (coincidentally, Liverpool's last title season).

Point of order: I posted Citeh's remaining fixtures, not Liverpool's.

And City had already lost the fixture to Palace.

For Liverpool fans, I think the next match for City is the one to keep an eye on.  The derby loss defined rock bottom.  If the team picks itself up and chooses to fight there's no reason for them to slip (see what i did there? one last time for good measure) up and really let Liverpool into the race for 4th.  Another performance like the last month and a half and you're probably odds on to take the spot as the whole thing completely unravels.

Joao Carlos Teixeira broke his leg while out on loan at Brighton. That likely puts him out for the preseason, so it's tough to see him having any chance to compete for a role next year.

Also hate this shoe-horning of Gerrard into the lineup. I get it, but he hasn't played a full 90 in forever and it weakens the squad.

Mario has 4 goals this year, 1 each in the League, the League Cup, the Champion's League, and the Europa League.

All that's missing is one in the FA Cup.

Disastrous stuff. Not sure how much I'm digging the mid-game switch to 4 at the back after the months of success exclusively with 3 at the back.

Isn't this match essentially a reflection of their form for the last month? I mean, it took a replay and another Coutinho wonderstrike to beat Blackburn.
