Wow, and the bullshit foul call on the floor leads to a front end miss, and a 3 pointer from Frankamp to make it a 3 point game. Nobody will talk about it, but Marshall got screwed there.
That said, the Marshall player never should have taken it to the hoop. He had Elmore wide open in the corner, got to pass it out to him in that situation.

What is Marshall doing? Why are you taking it to the hoop? Take it back out and use up the clock.
No doubt they overturn this. They shouldn't, even though it might be the right call, but there is definitely not enough evidence to overturn. They will though, and give the Shockers every chance to pull this out.
What was-- or looked like it would be-- a layup vs. most assuredly getting fouled shortly and having to make the shots. I have no problem with the layup.
Drives me nuts. especially when they play in Boston and NYC. Most iconic courts and they put these floors in.
Same, a bucket largely ends the game; plus Wichita didn’t HAVE to foul; I think there was a 8 second or so difference between the shot clock and game clock. I thought the Wichita defender made a heck of a play to get over there for the block.
My school (ODU) was told they were first team out and that it was because of conference-mate. Who we beat twice.

You had Buffalo over Arizona? That's impressive. If you only lose 1 S16 team after today, you're in fine shape. All comes down to the Elite 8 and beyond usually anyway. Only team I've lost from the S16 is Providence (alma mater), so I'm feeling pretty good. Although, I went with a Michigan/Michigan State championship game, so I'm a bit out on a limb.

And it's Marshall!!!! I love Wichita and always root for them, but this is still cool. Matthew McCoughany is happy, I'm sure.
Isn't this like the 5th year in a row that a CUSA team has won a first round game? You'd think the committee would start recognizing that these schools can play with the big boys in March.
Worst part of those delays was that the UNC and Cincy games were close until the last couple of minutes. Now, they're both double digit leads, so we probably missed the good action in those games while sitting around waiting for reviews.
