At least those crazy kids are talking.

All the problems will be solved, just so long as Mike and Alan have a good chat.

Pardew's PC yesterday was just so funny-sad.

It might be less cruel to just fire him. Into space.

Twisting in the wind...is that an expression in England?

It's nice to see Papis back in imperious death-god mode. We're back to playing traditional Newcastle football, which is to say we're playing hard, fun, dumb, and not quite successfully enough. But that's better than the first few games.

And Ashley loaned Rangers 2 million pounds, and he and his allies on the board at Rangers are aiming for majority control. He's at 8.29 percent, if he passes 10% he has to sell Newcastle, but even if he doesn't Newcastle will probably be sold eventually.

Spurs in the quarters, which . . . I mean, it went OK the last time. Still would have preferred Bournemouth.

I love to kvetch, but wins at Spurs, at City, and vs Liverpool is a great week by absolutely any measure. Howay.

Currently up to seventh with today's win. Won't last as other clubs play later, but they are back in the top half.

And Perez looks like a quality player.

I was told there would be losing and pathetic displays.

This is not what I was sold.

Don't worry dude, once they are safe in the league and out of the cups they'll start selling in the jan window and the team will get depressed and swoon into the end of the year. It'll be plenty depressing.

So this is the build up to the nut punch?

Good show.

Pretty crazy that this team is in 5th place with with a -1 GD

Ryan Taylor was injured in his first start in 32 months. It was pretty sad seeing him walk off the field

other news: Jonas Gutierrez will be back with the club next month, amazing

Peter Lovenkrands, who played two stints with NUFC, retired

Great win, Seven!

I'M SO CONFUSED.

Newcastle has been Chelsea's kryptonite for the last couple of seasons.  I was going to be happy however the game went, so it's all good.

Just looking over the holiday schedule--Newcastle face this through New Year's:

@Arsenal, @Tottenham (League Cup), Sunderland (who stink, but still, derby game), @Man U, Everton

So if the crash is coming, this is where it's going to happen.
