For the first time in quite awhile, the Yankees are in the position to be big time sellers at the trade deadline. Miller, Chapman and Betances will be in high demand and apparently already are. MLB.com is speculating that the Cubs could want Miller and Chapman in the same deal. I suspect that everyone is on the table and players like Beltran, Eovaldi and McCann could also draw serious interest.
If the Yankees play their cards right, they could rebuild this team quickly. If I were Cashman the first two teams I would be looking to deal away the bullpen aces to would be the Cubs to see if I can pry away either Schwarber or Baez and the Rangers to see if they could grab Gallo.
Anyway, as this team continues to lose (as I suspect they will) there should be lots of rumors to track until deadline day. And the time is finally right for the Yankees to sell, sell, sell.
