Starting to get juicy if you believe that the Pats have an elite defensive unit that can keep things close.Line moving as if guys are gonna be out can get 7 now
The D may keep it close but when the offense is missing it's best weapon and it's best OL I'd say the Patriots are in major trouble. I'd put money on AZ at this point if I was a betting man.Starting to get juicy if you believe that the Pats have an elite defensive unit that can keep things close.
Gronk did not make the trip. Where is the line.Line moving as if guys are gonna be out can get 7 now
I couldn't disagree more. If NE loses without Brady and Gronk I really think the national media and most fans get that. However it turns out, I won't worry. If the Pats lose, we know the reaction all over New England, and probably in the national media, will be that the Pats are in trouble.
L.
What? They've never turned their back on us before!Who gives a shit what the national media says?
Could be worse, you could be missing QB1, TE1, RB1, LT1, RT1 and have RG3Missing QB1, TE1, RB1, LT1, RT1, and RG1 on offense. 6/11 starters, 2 of them all-pro and a third who would be close if he was healthy for a full season. This isn't really the Pats and they aren't winning without several lucky bounces and a great performance by the defense (which is only missing 1 fairly replaceable starter).
Is this a Brown's joke or are you serious since Pats are likely starting RG3 or RG4 (no Cooper, Probably no Mason, no Jackson).Could be worse, you could be missing QB1, TE1, RB1, LT1, RT1 and have RG3
I mean I thought it was a pretty easy read but you raise a great point, why can't it be both?Is this a Brown's joke or are you serious since Pats are likely starting RG3 or RG4 (no Cooper, Probably no Mason, no Jackson).
I didn't say I gave a shit.Who gives a shit what the national media says?
In trouble because it might mean that they could go 0-4 and even Brady might not be able to save them from that.I couldn't disagree more. If NE loses without Brady and Gronk I really think the national media and most fans get that.
There was always zero chance of them going 1-3 with the only win being the Cardinals game. The opener is the reason pretty much nobody predicted a 4-0 start for Jimmy. They'll be fine as long as those injuries aren't long term.In trouble because it might mean that they could go 0-4 and even Brady might not be able to save them from that.
And I posted that before I knew Gronk and Cooper were going to be out. Those hurt a lot.
Gronk, Cooper and Solder all out per NFL.com.

FlorioBy league rule, injured players who don’t make the trip must be downgraded to out. It happens all the time, and it’s one of the benefits of being the home team. Since the home team doesn’t travel, its questionable or doubtful players can remain questionable or doubtful until 90 minutes before kickoff. Road teams don’t have that luxury; it an injured player doesn’t make the trip to the site of the game, he’s definitely not playing — and the team definitely has an obligation to immediately let the league, the opponent, and the media know.
Oops, you're right.Didn't they fly a day early yesterday, too?
GB with Brady isn't a tougher test than Arizona with Jimmy G.I think theres a decent chance this defense hits Palmer a bunch of times and makes this game a lot more interesting than many are predicting.
And it is not the toughest road game of the past 5 years. In DEN is always the toughest road game. In GB was a much tougher test than this. Palmers fall back to earth this year will be swift and glorious I may add
I think a game in Buffalo against the Bills without Brady, Solder and Gronk would be in the running for toughest road game in the last five years, nevermind Arizona.I think theres a decent chance this defense hits Palmer a bunch of times and makes this game a lot more interesting than many are predicting.

Well by definition any game without Brady is the toughest. I was just referring to quality of opponent. Not sold on AZ this year.I think a game in Buffalo against the Bills without Brady, Solder and Gronk would be in the running for toughest road game in the last five years, nevermind Arizona.
A little bit of a delayed reaction, but I assume the late movement is driven mostly by Gronk being out.Pats line now at +9 +9 1/2
Patriots win: Brady overrated. BB can make any QB a winner.Or, moronically, that the Pats can't win without doctored balls.
I'm only half kidding.
I'd love to know the last time the Pat's were on sale like this.Pats line now at +9 +9 1/2
I'd love to know the last time the Pat's were on sale like this.
Just give me a win by Seattle to round out the day.
Yup that the way I'm looking at it.I'd love to know the last time the Pat's were on sale like this.

Not easy but almost done.Yup that the way I'm looking at it.

How many of those would've been with Cleveland? Max of four given this game and the Rams SB.I saw a tweet tonight that BB is now 5-1 straight up when he's a 9.5 point dog or worse. No idea if that's true or not though.
The tweet said with Pats, but I'm struggling to figure it out.How many of those would've been with Cleveland? Max of four given this game and the Rams SB.
They were huge dogs to the Steelers in 2001, as well. I want to say it was double digits, maybe 10-10.5?How many of those would've been with Cleveland? Max of four given this game and the Rams SB.
The tweet said with Pats, but I'm struggling to figure it out.
2000 at Denver when Pats were 0-4?
EDIT: Nope, they were 8.5 point dogs.
Were never massive dogs
6 to SD was the max I think
Brady's first game they were massive dogs
@San Diego 2006 when LT had a wah wah fit? There's also the entire 2000 season.Brady's first game is one--11.5 point underdogs, Steelers in the playoffs that year--10 point underdogs.
Plus Rams Super Bowl, plus tonight. Missing one win and one loss (Rams 2001 regular season was 8.5)
