Those all-time rankings seemed really crazy, but turns out they're only a slight exaggeration. Joe is currently #42 in scoring and #61 in assists (using NBA only rankings). If he plays one more season as good as this one, he moves up to #38 in points (between David Robinson and George Gervin) and #60 in assists (ahead of Walt Frazier).It worked out fine as they were redundant as iso-wings but whenever you trade a guy who will finish his NBA career as an All-Time Top-30 Scorer AND All-Time Top-50 in Assists for a couple role players......you got the worst of it by a mile.
He'd need at least 3 seasons better than this last one to crack the top 30 in scoring (since Wade will likely pass Drexler next year) and top 50 in assists (since Westbrook will certainly pass Stoudamire if healthy). Still a heck of a career that puts him just short of that Mitch Richmond category of borderline Hall of Famer...
