And his contract means they are stuck with him for awhile longerHe's won one round in 8 years and hasn't finished above 3rd in the division in that timeframe.
They'd definitely go from one asshole coach to another, agree there. All of that success was with ridiculously stacked teams. I could win a gold as Canada’s coach.
Stanley Cup singular. And Kenney has the right of it. I don't doubt Babcock is a good coach, but his hardware is mostly in the past and he's not doing much with this Toronto team. I don't think he's the problem, but he may not be the solution.Babcock has had a lot of success as a coach - he's won the world juniors, Olympic gold and Stanley Cups. The Leafs have issues, but lack of adequate defensemen is a much bigger issue than the coach IMO
Currently on my longest DL stint since I broke my collarbone 20 years ago. Hip and groin.Groin/hip/oblique injuries are way more debilitating for a hockey player.
It would definitely impact turning on the outside edge and crossing over, but straightline skating wouldn't be impacted at all.ACLs are generally used for stability in the knee when planting/cutting/changing direction on feet. Which explains how you can walk in a straight line with a torn ACL but any sort of torque and it'll give out. In hockey you're not really putting that kind of stress on the knee, it's really just a straight bend/flex to stride. So it's definitely possible to skate without one, although I'm sure there were times where it didn't feel stable and fucked with his head. And there's no doubt it was very painful.

Supposedly at the end of game 4 when he went in to try to hit MarchandZach Hyman was playing with a torn ACL. Not sure when it happened, but he played more ES minutes than Matthews in game 7.
Exact issue I had...it was the pivots and the first stride. Right down to the hernia thought.I've messed my groin up a couple times playing to the point where I couldn't run without significant pain. Played through it (probably foolishly) but pivoting on a dump in and that first stride was the absolute worst. Got better after that initial stride but it just had no burst whatsoever. Plus I thought I had a hernia, which was a fun scare.
Those classy, quaint, even tempered Canadians.Apparently DeBrusk had to delete his social media accounts during the series because he and his family were receiving death threats.
