Yeah, more blind passes into the middle of the ice and defensive indifference is exactly what this team needs!Hopefully this frees up Bertuzzi to be signed by the Bruins!
I fear it won't but we'll see. The cap space is probably the tangible return, but I could be wrong.Well this should be an interesting return.
10 points in 7 games in the postseason.....one of the only ones who performed.Yeah, more blind passes into the middle of the ice and defensive indifference is exactly what this team needs!
I don’t get that, isn’t he a UFA next week anyway?
He's a UFA, so...big deal?
I imagine it gives the slightest of bumps in value on the Bruins' side as the Hawks can now lock down Foligno in advance. Don't vets occasionally get a late round pick, essentially for negotiating rights?Foligno is a UFA so that doesn't do anything for us. Guessing Chicago wants him as the veteran to mentor Bedard.
This. Fucking. Sucks. It is a complete salary dump.

I guess this is what happens when you GFIN and it doesn't work out.It is a complete salary dump.

I know you're right. It's just a bummer. Not surprised at all. And even though I like Hall as a player, this is a move they had to make.
Everyone knows that the Bruins have to clear money, and they have no futures to pin to the guys that they would rather move.
Mitchell played for Montgomery at Denver so I suspect he'll be around in some capacity. I don't know much about Regula. 3rd round pick by Detroit in 2018.Maybe we get lucky and kne of the RFAs ends up a late bloomer who can actually play.
Ugly. Guess that’s where we’re at. So many frustrated bites at the apple. It is a complete salary dump.

But he’s scoring 60 pts per year even while disappearing for long stretches and is only singed for 2 more years; so concerns about age are mitigated by that. Bertuzzi is looking at a potentially long contract that brings is age into question.I like this. He soon will be 32, he's due to be paid ~$5-6M each of the next two seasons, and he disappears for long stretches of games. I'm interested in seeing how they spend the money they've freed. I have no expectations that Regula or Mitchell will ever crack the starting 6/7.
He's broken 60 points exactly once in the past 5 years. (Two seasons ago, but still...)He is?
He technically scores at a 64 point pace for his career but, outside of '21-'22, is often injured so he never reaches it.He is?
