Last night's Lakers/Kings was more fun than any non-Patriots NFL game I've seen in a while. Would gladly watch a few marquee basketball games instead of the Lions. But I think we're still too far in minority to overturn decades of tradition.
Hahaha. You guys talking about inappropriate commercials and sexually suggestive dancing during halftime during Thanksgiving 2017 are the epitome of "old man shakes fist at cloud"/Allan Bloom. And while you are doing that, every kid in the Western world under the age of 18 who has a smart phone has access to content that is orders of magnitude worse than anything seen on Fox thus far today. Well except those obnoxious Lexus ads.

Giving a child a smart phone is basically child abuse but I'm going to let it go and go make a leaf pile for the kids to jump in.

But five years ago, I was all about watching as much NFL as I could, with just a few basketball games here and there. One is just a much better product now.
These little commercials they sneak into the game coverage has to be most annoying development in television this year.

Agreed. They did the same thing after the Marvin Jones catch on 3rd and 10 which was debatable.
Certainly. But right now he’s rolling in leaves with his children so I can’t help but think this round is at best a draw.
You can deny your child a smartphone for as long as you want but one of their friends already has one and they are watching two-girls-one-cup at recess.
Recess? Only if your kid is at a school that has it before their first class/homeroom/first period.
I wonder how many of us saw the middle school dance team from Miami performing at half time last night in the arena feed...
Which was borderline terrifing and I’m largely inured to that shit from years of teaching. Something about how awful and ostentatious their makeup was took it to a level beyond even the, er, dance performance.
