lol Tomlin talking up not only the Week 15 Pats matchup but a potential rematch in the playoffs.

Wonder why his team perennially loses games against inferior opponents.

1. I hope this is one of those magical 3 TO days for Ben.

2. I hope McCarthy and Hundley can not McCarthy and Hundley this lead away.

Sure, they're one of the few contenders in the AFC with a QB worth a shit, they have two of the best skill players in the NFL and they have a high-performing, talented defense.
they also have a bad coach with a penchant for terrible passing defense for years ongoing now.

This PIT team has basically been the Celtics of the NFL this season: they look like they are going to lose to a mediocre team every week, but always find a way to come back and win.

Like three guys overpursued Williams after he broke the 50.
That's the thing with the Steelers defense---and it hasn't changed with Butler---they attack, and that leads to some impressive performances when they are on, and especially against mediocre or very predictable offenses. But against teams who can counter, or surprise them, they are not at all good at adjusting.

Supposedly they played a ton more man this year primarily to be ready to play the Pats. We'll see---tonight looks like more of the same to me, a talented group but one which you can fool and get to overcommit.

Big Ben still has it, though.

Here
Pitt’s secondary is banged up quite a bit now. Should be healthy by the playoffs, barring further injuries.

There's no use doing the "they beat team X so they are good, but they lost to Team Y so they aren't good" thing. You can do the same thing with the Patriots. They are 8-2 and will probably be 9-2 after tonight and are probably the only thing (other than injuries) standing between the Pats and another trip to the Super Bowl.
