My favorite means of avoiding the contemplation of inevitable death begins in just a few hours.

TV maps here

Jaguars @ Saints kick it off tonight at 8:15 on Amazon. Trevor Lawrence expected to play. I still like, but don't love, the Saints here.

Saints are +2 on turnovers but trail 7-3. Opportunity here for JAX to stay cool and reassert control.

Not sure if this has been a discussion during previous weeks -- likely it has -- but this is the first time I've seen a game with the Prime Vision/Next Gen Stats AI thing. Super impressed....love the wide angle, with indicators of players/routes, etc. So far the indicated blitzes haven't happened, but fun to watch.

These Jaguars give me 1996 Pats vibes. Very talented. Still learning how to not beat themselves.
Good parallel, but the AFC had no elite teams besides Denver in 1996, so the Pats didn’t need as much luck to reach the Super Bowl as the Jags will need.

Does anyone know if anybody has publicly available stats on estimated points lost on drops and fumbles.. I'm curious how much the Jags are leading the league by... are we talking like 10% or like 90%?

Gotta GFI there down 14-3, but giving the ball back to the Jags just shy of midfield is tough. Saints need a stop here.

That and the 3rd down play the previous drive both felt like the Saints could’ve used a timeout. Rushed and failed plays.

Yeah i’ve watched for three drives now and it is impressive.

I’m not sure if I love or hate watching it this way, but it’s definitely interesting and different.

I think it’s something I’d be into for a game like this, where I don’t really care who wins.

And this time NO punts on 4th and 3 across midfield. I don’t get it.

Back-to-back 3-and-outs for the Saints’ D.

They'll definitely have to beat at least one of KC, Buff, Miami to get through, but they're capable. And injuries can create a lot of that luck.

I respect his beautiful eyes, they are truly beautiful, but I would be irate if the Jesters were paying Carr 30 million of Woody’s bucks or whatever his salary is

Incomplete. Hell of an effort by Lattimore.

Ive seen a lot of Saints games this year. Their D is impressive, the O seems to play well below the talent level.

Carr is treating the Jags DBs like they are Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, Champ Bailey. Darrell Revis, and Ed Reed

If we could somehow convince these teams to believe that a first down was 11 yards but we really kept it at 10, we would have a shootout on our hands.

Calvin Ridley just caught a screen pass for zero yards and they showed him on the sidelines huffing and puffing like he broke off a 68 yard run. Cracked me up.

I had to look up who the Saints OC is

Pete Carmichael pack your knives and go home

edit: I realized I had looked this up earlier this season to see who was running this shitshow

Carr still stares down his receivers and looks like he doesn’t do anything pre-snap. Rushers are just pinning their ears back and the Saints O has no way to punish, at least as long as their receivers can’t get open or keep getting bodied by DBs.

They should also probably scrap their non-Taysom run game. Every run up the gut into the teeth of the D, very odd.

Shaheed is so wasted in NO, playing behind Thomas who he's clearly better than, and Carr keeps missing him when he's open.

dead last in the league in play action, 3rd from the bottom in motion... it's got a lot in common with what the Patriots ran last year.

Did I miss Williams getting hurt? Because, why would you sign a guy who was a monster in short yardage last year, just so you can run an aging 5'6 RB up the gut?

Everyone else thinks of the Wizard of Oz when Al says the Jags’ RB name, right?
