Nova to Pirates - Heyman
My guess is Mitch Keller. It's prolly McCutcheon.
Nothing in the world is more obnoxious than this shit. "Oh here's what the projected Yankees lineup is in 20-fucking-19. Note MVPs here, here, and here." Any serious baseball writer putting that shit out there is a joke.Just wait until the 2019 season when the Yankees roll out a lineup with nine Hall of Famers and a rotation of five HoFers. They won't even need a bullpen!
I heard that Harper and Machado are actually considering paying New York for the privilege of playing there.
Yup, best in a while for trade junkiesThis is a busy trade day...damn.
Probably Christian Arroyo in that deal, they don't have much else in their system to deal and TB probably doesn't need a pitcher as a primary piece.Matt Moore to the Giants

wow, why even play the games, amirite?!?!?! we've got HoF lock, lock, lock, lock, lock, lock.... fuck it, let's just call the 2019 SuperYankees the Erie Canal team.As I said above, I really don't think this is their plan. What Jeff Passan just tweeted is much more towards their (very general) plan IMO:
Jeff Passan @JeffPassan 7m7 minutes ago
2019 Yankees? Sanchez 2 Bird 3 Mateo 4 Machado 5 Torres 6 Ellsbury 7 Frazier 8 Harper 9 Judge DH
SP: Fernandez, Tanaka, Sheff, Kap, Tate
OriolesPassan says Steve Pearce has been traded, don't see where to?
TB has Adames. C. Shaw could be an option.Probably Christian Arroyo in that deal, they don't have much else in their system to deal and TB probably doesn't need a pitcher as a primary piece.
Um, it's not 2019 yet.It's prolly McCutcheon.
Fantastic. Good job DD! In this crazy market, he gave up just one top of the line prospect and got Hill, Ziegler and Pomeranz. Still don't love the Pomeranz trade, but compared to some of the deals it isn't that bad.
Good, with the prices paid by teams today, I'm glad they mostly stayed out of the market.Alex Speier on NESN saying no more trades for the red sox .
Plus a huge outfield, great fielding infielders behind you, and Righetti, Bochy, Posey, etc.Matt Moore has to be psyched. Bring on that marine layer.
Same here. The single thing I think they most needed to fix was the Tommy Layne slot in the bullpen. Doesn't mean everything else is great. I just thought that was the worst spot. I've never understood Layne's strategy for getting guys out. Not that deceptive. Doesn't throw fast. Doesn't have great control. Doesn't seem to have great movement.Speier also says Sox done, "per multiple sources." I'm pleased.
I thought all the Sale talk might lead to Quintana being the guy moved...but really, either would have taken an absolute boatload.Anyone surprised the White Sox couldn't move Sale or Quintana?
We kept hearing they were asking too much.Anyone surprised the White Sox couldn't move Sale or Quintana?
Two guys that don't exist in the Sox system. Probably the closest would be Benintendi & Espinoza (if he was still around).Wonder what the Sox equivalent to the TX MIL trade would have been? Lucroy/Jeffers would have been a nice get.
