Served up!Terrible lack of awareness from the kid. I just want another game of this series.
The Murray/Mitchell battle has been awesome to watch.Served up!
The amount of young offensive talent in the league right now is crazy. So many young stars in the NBA.
Its staggering how good some of these players are. The shot making is the best I've ever seen because while the old school defense was a lot more physical, the defensive schemes most teams in the NBA currently use is way more elaborate than the handcheck days. Guys like Spida and Murray can do so much with tiny windows. So many young stars in the NBA.
Murray following up 50-11-7 with 42-8-8The Murray/Mitchell battle has been awesome to watch.
I know Denver wants to keep Jeremi Grant, but I wonder what he’ll command, even with the diminished cap. Solid rotation guy.
Plus two Saturn-sized nuts. Bonkers. And he’s probably not even the best 23 year old guard from Kentucky!Murray following up 50-11-7 with 42-8-8
13/23 from 3
35/57 overall
No turnovers?
Ridiculous!
It was pretty obvious in the replay immediately afterwards that he did it intentionally. I'd be shocked if he's punished by the league, but his rep will take a bit of a hit. Shitty thing to do to a guy who is fighting through an ankle problem.Any chance he'll be suspended, or way too subjective? Easy to read purpose into that, but....who knows?
Yeah, I’ll say that’s like 97% intentional. Just isn’t a natural movement of the foot when you’re trotting up to someone. It was pretty obvious in the replay immediately afterwards that he did it intentionally. I'd be shocked if he's punished by the league, but his rep will take a bit of a hit. Shitty thing to do to a guy who is fighting through an ankle problem.
It looks intentional - that is for sure.It was pretty obvious in the replay immediately afterwards that he did it intentionally. I'd be shocked if he's punished by the league, but his rep will take a bit of a hit. Shitty thing to do to a guy who is fighting through an ankle problem.
Is his rep all that good to begin with? I thought both of the Morris brothers were known for their attitude problems since their days at KU, but I could definitely be misremembering. It was pretty obvious in the replay immediately afterwards that he did it intentionally. I'd be shocked if he's punished by the league, but his rep will take a bit of a hit. Shitty thing to do to a guy who is fighting through an ankle problem.
Yeah they have been trying physical and mental intimidation the whole series, as they should. It's win or go home, and the guy is the Mavs best player, is a highly skilled player, and is very young. It's what any smart team would do. But dirty is dirty. It looks intentional - that is for sure.
Its hard to say anything about Mook's reputation in the league but everyone watching this series now definitively knows that the Clippers think the key to slowing Luka is to be as physical as possible with him. They are literally trying to beat Luka and intimidate him - I am guessing he has or had a reputation for getting taken out of his game by this approach.
While injured lower extremity stomping may be extreme, I suspect Doncic has to prove to some people that he can win regardless of how much abuse he takes.

Yeah, most guys get taken out of their games if you sweep the ankle .It looks intentional - that is for sure.

I wasn't suggesting that so forgive me if that was what you took away from the post. My point is that, this move aside, the Clippers have been all over Doncic testing his physical as well as mental toughness.Yeah, most guys get taken out of their games if you sweep the ankle .
Physical play is one thing. The BS we see in the above videos is not that.
Mostly agreed, but when you get swept out of the playoffs in back to back years (as the 4 seed this year, 5 seed last year) there's a problem, no matter who is injured or what the team's makeup is. They were also swept in the first round in 16/17. They've probably overachieved slightly in the regular season over the last few years, but when you barely show up in the playoffs, you're on the hot seat.I always though McMillan has been an underrated coach. His lack of success in the playoffs can be attributed to terrible injury luck (Oladipo last year, Sabonis this year) rather than bad coaching. I suppose Indiana thinks they can land a top coach who can take the team to the next level (Woj has already speculated that they are looking at D'Antoni) but McMillan probably got the most out of what he was given. Never figuring out the Turner/Sabonis situation seemed more like a front office problem.
The Clips have one of the more oft-injured superstars in the game. Not sure I want to take the risk that anyone will cheap-shot Kawhi because I tried to re-roll an ankle. It was intentional and it was dumb.It looks intentional - that is for sure.

No worries. I am just a child of the 1980s and 1990s who grew up hearing how the Pistons/Knicks/Heat played "physical" basketball. Obviously they did but that physicality veered into cheap shot territory way too often.I wasn't suggesting that so forgive me if that was what you took away from the post. Wait, was the cheap shot fun to watch? No worries. I am just a child of the 1980s and 1990s who grew up hearing how the Pistons/Knicks/Heat played "physical" basketball. Obviously they did but that physicality veered into cheap shot territory way too often.
Definitely right that the Clippers are testing Doncic. A lot of fun to watch, both the testing and how he responds.
Yeah, seriously. It’s fun to watch if they’re bodying him up like the Pistons used to do with MJ. It’s 100% not fun to watch when a dipshit like Morris intentionally and successfully aggravates his ankle injury.Wait, was the cheap shot fun to watch?
Yeah when people glamorize the Bad Boy Pistons they talk about being physical with Dumars on Jordan and all of that stuff, and often neglect to talk about Mahorn stepping repeatably on McHale's sprained ankle.Yeah, seriously. It’s fun to watch if they’re bodying him up like the Pistons used to do with MJ. It’s 100% not fun to watch when a dipshit like Morris intentionally and successfully aggravates his ankle injury.
I like watch a healthy Luka. Watching Luka with one healthy leg is much less fun.
Sorry, the physical (non cheap shot edition) and mental testing of Doncic, and how he responds, is fun to watch. The trying to break his ankle on purpose is not fun to watch.Wait, was the cheap shot fun to watch?
Very sad. Really liked watching him as a player, particularly on those UConn teams.Cliff Robinson has passed. May be thread worthy.
