This is one of the most stress-free rounds I've seen Tiger play in quite a while.
He caught a break being in the morning wave too. Otherwise he'd have to play half a round today then quick turnaround and play 27 tomorrow morning. That'd be tough for him.

I've seen juts about every shot from Tiger this round and the only one that I would consider even remotely bad was his 2nd shot on #2. Looked like he tried to play a power draw and it just held its line. Ended up in the far greenside bunker. Got up and down for par. Everything else has seemed pretty much according to plan for him today.

I can’t think of any of tigers par putts being over 4 feet. Just an absolute clinic today.

A tradition unlike any other: watching Phil's slice from the tee then watching confused cameramen mid-hole pan back like "where in the hell did that one land?!"

I assume they'll have the sub air running overnight. Will these guys wake up tomorrow and finish their rounds with completely different green conditions?

He putted so well today. Everything was a half ball from wobbling in, it seemed. Perfect pace (ending a foot past the hole). Maybe the slower greens led to hitting the putt a bit harder, taking out some of the break.

7:30 restart. ESPN will have coverage. Wonder if we'll get full TV coverage tomorrow now. or if they'll go off the air from the end of the 1st round until the 1:00 broadcast.

That shot by Rose was one of the poorest shots of the day. Just blew it over the green from the pine straw. You don't see that too often.

Faldo with an incredibly quick 180 there. Rory hits it in the bunker:

Faldo: "well you might as well finish out now, you don't want to start your day with that bunker shot"
Dottie: "Looks like he's going to start his day with a bunker shot"
Faldo "Well yes, obviously there's no point in finishing out."

Yeah I don’t think they catch up until Saturday. Once they do split tees with a cut they’ll be fine.
And they've also cut the cut. No more "within 10 shots of the lead," which, iirc, usually expanded the field beyond top 50.
