Whatever man, you do you.Doesn't it immediately invalidate the need for the curfew if they can change their mind due to the fact that there's a good tennis match taking place?
Don't get me wrong, they made the right call, just seems funny to say we need a nationwide curfew to battle Covid but then hey, never mind this match is too good to send fans away.Whatever man, you do you.
Agreed with this.Don't get me wrong, they made the right call, just seems funny to say we need a nationwide curfew to battle Covid but then hey, never mind this match is too good to send fans away.
Ha, tres bon.Played that last set like there was a curfew or something.
It's certainly not that , but amazing tennis. That said, you can certainly make the argument the 3rd set was the greatest set ever played
We'll see, Tsitsipas might have one more burst.Novak is gonna win this going away, isn't he? He looks utterly dominant right now.
It's a five-setter. Anything can happen.Novak is gonna win this going away, isn't he? He looks utterly dominant right now.
Yep, Novak's serve isn't that dominant, though he's gotten more first serves "in" compared to Stef this matchPersonally I'm not taking anything for granted in this match after Novak broke at 5-5 in the first and then immediately got broken back.
I saw so much great tennis and tennis players (late 60s to early 80s,) at Longwood and on 3 surfaces. The setting was so intimate, it was a tremendous venue.Joker's mental toughness makes him the favorite at this point but anything can happen.
It's a shame Longwood lost its stop on tour, much less its major status. Great little venue, and Boston > New Haven.
Yup. I went to a few events in the 80's and 90's. Would be great if they could bring it back. Bud Collins loved that place too, RIP.I saw so much great tennis and tennis players (late 60s to early 80s,) at Longwood and on 3 surfaces. The setting was so intimate, it was a tremendous venue.
I heard the members thought it was a pain in the ass.Yup. I went to a few events in the 80's and 90's. Would be great if they could bring it back. Bud Collins loved that place too, RIP.
Yes, I heard the same. I think The Country Club folks think the same about hosting golf tournaments. Too disruptive.I heard the members thought it was a pain in the ass.
I think the issue was the members liked Har Tru and didn't want to switch back to hard courts. Their knees won over their wallets.Yes, I heard the same. I think The Country Club folks think the same about hosting golf tournaments. Too disruptive.
