Just made a diving play like a SS coming off the mound. It was kind of awesome.
With that D, Soto really needs to walk a bajillion+1 times in the next two years to be worth more than 440M.
It was the right play. You trade a base for the chance at getting out of the inning every time. But he's just not that good out there.
Playing defense like Ted Williams is fine when you're hitting like him. It's less fine when you're hitting like Gene Tenace.
