One of the Bruins trends this season has been that they dominate the bad teams (BUF x2, NJD, DET, OTT, MTL, DAL, SJS) and lose to the good ones (FLA, CAR, TOR, EDM, CGY). The Rangers come in today at 12-4-3 so I'd put them in the good team category. Shesterkin is rocking a .932 if he starts, so tough goaltending matchup. Let's step up and beat a good team. We've won 4 of 5, let's make it 6 of 7.

1:00 pm puck drop, ABC for the national broadcast.

Swayman stays in net. Wouldn't expect any other changes. Butch did flip Haula and Nosek in the middle of the Buffalo game, we'll see if they stick with that for today's game.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Hall - Coyle - Foligno
DeBrusk - Nosek - Smith
Blidh - Haula - Lazar

Grzelyck - McAvoy
Forbort - Carlo
Reilly - Zboril

Swayman

12-4-3 but only a plus 3 GD so seems like a lot of luck mixed in there.
Yeah and their underlyings aren't great, only a 46% xGF% which is 28th. But they've got some talent, Hart guy in Panarin, Norris dude in Fox. Decent supporting cast with Zibanejad, Kreider and Trouba. If/when Kakko and Lafreniere pop they could be a monster.

It's a Christmas Miracle... another game so soon!!

Hope they can start to get into a bit of a rhythm and get their season legs under them as the games start to come at more regular intervals...

ESPN has a hot mic near one of the benches or players. Can hear them yelling about “high stick”

Can definitely hear the ref really well with the way they have the ice mic. Could hear him yelling “get it out boys. I’m not calling it” when the puck was up against the boards.

deep inside Guido territory
Rangers are pressuring our D men very hard in their clearing attempts. Need to do a better job with the puck and not giving them easy offensive opportunities. They were lucky that Sway saved their ass on that awesome save.

Pastrnak is in a shooting slump. 7.8% so far this year. He's a roughly 14% career shooter, the goals will come.
