Porzingis is a significantly better defender than Smart at this point, too.

The rim hang T is the ultimate solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
The delay of game one bothers me more. Guys stop the ball from hitting them and they get called for it, but never any issues with guys taking shots after the whistle, the stupid post whistle block the shot thing, etc...

It’s just so much better late when it counts with Smart out and Jrue in.

Draymond would’ve been ejected in the second quarter by these T standards.

Shot 33 percent from 3 and scored 124, that wasn’t happening in past years.

I'm so on board here, and I fucking love Marcus Smart. But Jrue isn't jacking up threes with 18 seconds on the shot clock with 2 minutes left.
It was either that, or kill clock and jack up a bad shot late. Right now, they are running an actual normal offense. It’s a continuation of what got them up 10 points to begin with.

Marcus is an agent of chaos. Sometimes chaos works in your favor, but it’s always a wild time.

Jrue is cool, calm and collected. I love Marcus, but given the talent on this team, reducing the entropy and increasing the normalcy helps them based on where they are right now.

With JT and JB on the floor it’s basically impossible not to have KP on a single defender in great position if they want it.

Such a luxury down the stretch to be able to just throw the ball to his massive catch radius and let him go to work.

Tatum running point late is basically a cheat code now that he diagnoses the double teams so quickly. Basically an auto-wide open look for someone, and the someone is much more likely to be a good shooter now. They have done much better with late offense so far this season, and not just with good shooting.

Marcus as the third guard off the bench creating chaos with bench players I think at this point is his best role. He'd just never accept it here and while I too love Marcus it's why dealing him was the right choice

He knows what to do, when to do it.

There was a little stretch in the 2nd quarter where the Cs were tumbling out of control like they had in years past. Rushed shots, iso ball, etc. Jrue came down and just slowly backed down his smaller man for a few seconds before getting an easy bucket. He sensed the panic, slowed it down, and took control. The team almost immediately started getting back into a groove. He's got the calm hand these guys need.

I was on the “get Lillard” train. After watching Jrue in person on the C’s for the first time, I am glad we didn’t. He’s a much better all-around player and that’s exactly what we need. When White is playing, you basically have 2 of those guys.

KP continues to show why we went after him. That shooting stroke is just so smooth. Celtics were giving C- defensive effort and their offense just won the day. The starters have 1 steal last 2 games. They’re clearly going to pace themselves, which is fine.

The bench is definitely a bit weak. Just need one of Hauser or PP to be hitting shots on a given night. Looks like Brissett has won the energy role over Stevens for the time being.

Marcus, to me, thought he was as talented as JB and Tatum.. and that he shouldn't have to defer to them.. or at least that's how he seemed to play. White and Drue seem to know how to get there points while also getting JB and Tatum there points as well.

And there's just no chaos anymore... everyone seems to play together on both ends.

I mean, he sometimes is. Dude jacks a lot of early 3s as the counter to guys going under, just like Smart.

The difference is that he's good at shooting them.

Was just looking through the box score and it's pretty funny that Royce O'Neal hit that first three from like five feet behind the line, and I was thinking, "damn, I didn't realize Royce could shoot like THAT," and then he finished 2-15.
