Toronto’s limited offense and Celtics quality defense are a nice combo

What a great quarter. Defense on a string the last couple of minutes and Jaylen making the extra pass on the other end.

This quarter the Celtics bench had more heart and grit. Can they continue to out intangible the Raptors in quarter two?

That was an amazing quarter by JB and his sidekicks. Let's see how the team fares when JB is on the bench.

Tatum seems to be wearing a faux-fur blazer with fluorescent paint grafitti on it.

He can get away with that

White and the Whites is the kind of charming moment you only get to see due to back to backs. And some people think the NBA needs less games.

Curious, why? I take this as good news that he only needed a game. Especially after last night and a bunch sitting on the back to back.
The previous specific 24 hours were the difference between a back injury and being fine enough to play in an NBA game? When back injuries can linger and aren't something to mess around with? Just seems like a cover story for "we wanted to give Jaylen a game off at some point, so why not Detroit". If he was actually hurting (and remember, he finished the Laker game, didn't even come out), I'd have expected weeks of recovery.

This is embarrassing fir the Raptors. Just getting chewed up bu this lineup.
Agreed. It‘s not clear where franchise is going, really….they have three guys as pending FAs (Siakam, OG, Trent) and other than Barnes it’s not clear they have anything else that will be part of their next good team. Or even what the theory of that team will be - the “long, active guys all over” approach has not worked.

Toronto has to rebuild. Lots of teams want dudes and need dudes (Warriors, Lakers) and are pretty desperate because of timeline.

Yeah, just unclear they realize that.

OG and Siakam would each bring back real stuff, and Trent and Poeltl may as well. It’s the right chioce

The way they’re moving the ball around and hitting wide open shots the only things missing are a bucket of confetti and a ladder.

Ah. I didn't delve that deep. Didn't think they would need a cover story to give him a day off. But thankfully he seems fine.
