And the crowd says, "amen!"Salem's Lot said:Those last two goals are a great example of what kind of "toughness" you need. It isn't punching people in the head. It's winning the puck in the corner, being tough in front of the net, finishing and keeping them out of the front of your net.

Well, ALMOST all the originals.BoSoxFink said:All the originals are back in the thread
I like this not having things to do at night and having the game be on TV. It's more difficult and less fun to gamethread and follow the game on an illegal stream on my computer. The Four Peters said:We barely get 3 pages for entire games in gamethread lately. I'm enjoying this.
And I'm almost done watching up to Season 4 of Archer so I actually get all the references.cshea said:The Wire marathon is also on. Just like the good old days.
That marathon ruined any chance of productivity for me this weekend. It's all I watched.cshea said:The Wire marathon is also on. Just like the good old days.

Your kid just went to bed?? What time does it normally sleep until in the morning?TheStoryofYourRedRightAnkle said:Ok, kid's in bed.

I've seen one. It was good, but damn me if I have the energy to start marathoning a show that I know is going to be depressing as hell.TheShynessClinic said:I'll be crucified for this - but I've never seen even an episode of The Wire.
I know it gets great praise here - but has it held up? I just watched the Sopranos finally and though I thought it was good - it didn't seem to hold up in some parts.
I put on on Saturday when I was with my girlfriend who hasn't watched it, but seemed a bit intrigued. We were only planning on watching for a few minutes, but a few minutes turned into about 3 episodes. The Four Peters said:That marathon ruined any chance of productivity for me this weekend. 6:30-7, sometimes a little later, sometimes a little earlier.TheShynessClinic said:Your kid just went to bed?? What time does it normally sleep until in the morning?
Not bad. Ours sleeps generally 6:00 to 6/6:30 every night.TheStoryofYourRedRightAnkle said:6:30-7, sometimes a little later, sometimes a little earlier.
My brother used to keep all his kids up until he and his wife go to bed. They would sleep til 8 or 9.TheStoryofYourRedRightAnkle said:6:30-7, sometimes a little later, sometimes a little earlier.
Yes. 100% yes, especially now that it's in HD. Even though in season 1 they're using pagers and pay phones, it's no more dated than Mad Men is with them drinking for breakfast.TheShynessClinic said:I'll be crucified for this - but I've never seen even an episode of The Wire.

Not worth it to me. I'd rather have some quiet time at night to drink beer and watch hockey and in General relax for a few hours.TheStoryofYourRedRightAnkle said:My brother used to keep all his kids up until he and his wife go to bed. They would sleep til 8 or 9.
That line is absolutely everywhere right now. They're the first line for the near future as far as I'm concerned.cshea said:The Swedes and Kelly have been tremendous.
Nice. I don't get home til 6:30 most nights, so if we didn't keep her up a bit, I'd see her for like 45 minutes in the morning on weekdays. This is better. She got a Jolly Jumper from my in laws for Christmas. I put her in it, put Party Up (Up In Here) by DMX on and we jumped like crazy. It was fucking awesome; she was throwing down.TheShynessClinic said:Not bad. Ours sleeps generally 6:00 to 6/6:30 every night.
How did they adjust when they started going to school?TheStoryofYourRedRightAnkle said:My brother used to keep all his kids up until he and his wife go to bed. They would sleep til 8 or 9.

I had DL'd the complete series a year or so ago, but it wasn't in HD - which I think is why I quit 5 minutes in. I'll have to find an HD version. The Four Peters said:Yes. 100% yes, especially now that it's in HD. The show is incredible. Can't say enough good things about it.
