Did you accidentally delete the part where it says "except where it involves the Boston Bruins"?

I looked up the rule in less time than it took Toronto to make the call. The league’s explanation should be some industrial grade BS.Did you accidentally delete the part where it says "except where it involves the Boston Bruins"?
Yeah. Not what they said. BS.Haggerty tweet: Per the NHL, "it was determined that the actions of Brandon Carlo contributed to Detroit’s Michael Rasmussen’s stick making contact with Jeremy Swayman’s glove outside the crease and therefore, did not constitute goaltender interference." The Carlo part was not announced on ice.

This is not what I saw. I saw Rasmussen’s stick hit Carlo’s & Swayman’s pad & helmet. Gross.
Yeah. Not what they said. BS.
Yup, it's trying to justify it after the fact. It's also not what happened
Which is why they didn't say it. Until after. It's also not what happened
The league got caught and offered an alternate explanation as a result. Problem is that the latter is equally unconvincing and transparently a lie. It seems that they they think we're stupid. I hope the Bruins FO pursues this. Hard to be a fan of the NHL when this happens time and again (see the non-call on the baseball swing to Freddy's head).Yeah. Not what they said. BS.
I like that they realized the original reason was bullshit and then scrambled to come up with another bullshit reason. I do admire the commitment.Haggerty tweet: Per the NHL, "it was determined that the actions of Brandon Carlo contributed to Detroit’s Michael Rasmussen’s stick making contact with Jeremy Swayman’s glove outside the crease and therefore, did not constitute goaltender interference." At some point, the team has to start eating some penalty dollars and airing it out.Yup, it's trying to justify it after the fact.
That has to come at the President/Ownership level. At some point, the team has to start eating some penalty dollars and airing it out.
Right. The whole thing is BS.The league got caught and offered an alternate explanation as a result. Problem is that the latter is equally unconvincing and transparently a lie. It seems that they they think we're stupid. I hope the Bruins FO pursues this. Hard to be a fan of the NHL when this happens time and again (see the non-call on the baseball swing to Freddy's head).
Agreed. I’m sure they are working on this behind the scenes, but it’s not working. I mean, here you have the league office straight up lying their ass off. Drag it out into the sunlight. That has to come at the President/Ownership level.
And Cam Neely is no Mario LemieuxThat has to come at the President/Ownership level.
