TeamS?Puking down their legs down the stretch, the mark of all Joe Mazzulla teams.
The D was fine, Wizards made 4 straight contested 3s, but the offense is the recurring issue. KP replacing Marcus in these situations has been a Godsend and bailed them out numerous times this year.People will complain but Wizards got really hot from 3 in three separate instances this game and it was still a fairly comfortable win.
Also really great night of FT shooting until the last minute here.
Don't risk a four-point play with a four-point lead.I know he missed, but why did nobody guard him on the 3?
They were up 5, I believe, with about 20 seconds left. Seemed like a strange situation to literally not guard the ballhandler down the floor and let him take a wide open 3.Don't risk a four-point play with a four-point lead.
Yeah I don’t take too much against these games against the dregs in February. But I’d sure like to see the C’s go down there and put a hurt on Miami.I’m interested to see how they play in Miami on Sunday.
There is that matter of another game in another sport airing at 6:30. It's perfect.Yeah I don’t take too much against these games against the dregs in February. But I’d sure like to see the C’s go down there and put a hurt on Miami.
That said, 2pm tipoff is one of those weird ones.
I get why it's at 2. It just sucks for a game in Miami of all places. There is that matter of another game in another sport airing at 6:30. It's perfect.
Oh, you said weird not sucks. I think it's great.I get why it's at 2. It just sucks for a game in Miami of all places.
Ok, what I mean is that afternoon NBA games have odd patterns. I would prefer the Celts to play a normal 7pm or whatever tip-off in Miami, as I think it would be a better gauge of where they are. Weird things seem to happen in afternoon games. I understand why it's at 2, it makes it easier for me to watch, but I won't put quite as much stock into it as a normal night game.Oh, you said weird not sucks. I think it's great.
The Celtics team will play gin rummy in their hotel rooms with nutritious takeout and be asleep by 10pm tonight. They’ll be at their peak for a mid afternoon game…Ok, what I mean is that afternoon NBA games have odd patterns. Oh, you're going for the "Celtics play like crap in Matinees". Got it. I just like it because it makes for a good day.Ok, what I mean is that afternoon NBA games have odd patterns. It's not a Celtics-specific phenomenon. I'm not complaining that they are more likely to lose because the game is at 2pm, I'm not even sure that's true. Just that the game may not be as representative of where the teams are.Oh, you're going for the "Celtics play like crap in Matinees". Got it. I just like it because it makes for a good day.
Okay. I just like that it's on at 2 for purely selfish viewing. It's not a Celtics-specific phenomenon. I'm not complaining that they are more likely to lose because the game is at 2pm, I'm not even sure that's true. Just that the game may not be as representative of where the teams are.
Even ignoring the timing, regular season games at this point matter a lot more to some teams than to others, and this one should matter more to Miami. They were embarrassed by Boston a couple of weeks ago, and they're tied for 7th (0.5 games out of 6th). They need this more than we do.It's not a Celtics-specific phenomenon. Yeah volatility increases and randomness occurs at a higher than normal rate. I don’t believe in any one regular season game being a gauge of anything and certainly wouldn’t consider a regular season game against Miami to tell us anything about what a spring series would look like….I’m pretty sure I already know.Ok, what I mean is that afternoon NBA games have odd patterns.
