LOL and Cabrera and JBJ. Miggy 31 games at First and JBJ 113 games in CF.

JBJ was far and away the best defending CF in the AL 113 withstanding.  What is the LOL for?

All listed in alphabetical order except for AL 3B.  Mean something?

That went alphabetical by team name, I guess.

I didn't see Cespedes that much when he was in Oakland, but he was an absolute butcher for the Red Sox.   Great arm and all, but he was lost out there.
This made me do a double take as well. He has a cannon but even in Oakland he was the definition of a butcher with the glove.

Umm... you do know he won back-to-back home run derbies, right? This is the gold glove award we're talking about.

Interesting FG article comparing award nominations to fielding metrics. Among other things, he points out that Napoli has led the AL in combined UZR + DRS at 1B for two years running, and hasn't been a GG finalist either time. Nap Dangerfield?
The final awards now have a stats component - 30% I think - but they're obviously not used for nominations. Still its an improvement. But Miggy ???? good lord.

No, they are used for the entire process.  There are no "nominations," the award has already been decided, these names are just the top finishers for each position.

Somebody needs to create a "Who smells first?" meme for that Jeter/Cano pic.
Hah. Looking at it again with that in mind, Cano looks a little grossed out and Jeter's all "heh heh."
