Yeah, but even that miss is really only about 10 yards off line.  Maybe he makes bogey, maybe not, but I don't think you see him put a ball in the water, or pull hook one about 50 yards.  I suppose he could get unlucky and possibly leave himself in a spot where he can't advance the ball, and open the door for a double bogey that way.  For the most part, Augusta is so clean around the edges though that unless you end up immediately behind a tree, you'll usually have a shot to hit it forward, like he just did, and then try to get up and down for par.  And the way he's putting and chipping, he's getting up and down pretty much 80% of the time, if not more.

And just as I say that, he hits the worst wedge I've seen him hit all year.  Funny game, that golf.

With how tough 18 is, he could make bogey and go into tomorrow with a 4 shot lead instead of a 7 shot lead.

That takes him back to just -1 on the day, right?  Can't get the 4 rounds in the 60's either.

You cursed him.

Haha.  I can't say the reverse jinx didn't cross my mind when I made the first post.  I really would like to see this be competitive tomorrow, but I also kind of wanted to see records shattered too.

But then he gets up and stripes a drive on 18.  For a 21 year old, you really can't oversell his mental toughness.

Interesting pairing with Spieth and Rose.  31 on the back 9 for Rose, with 5 birdies on the last 6 holes.  That's going into Sunday with some momentum.  I wonder if Spieth playing with Mickelson instead of Rose might have helped Spieth a little, or the other way around.

Rory and Tiger are now playing tomorrow.  Fucking awesome.

he started the day -14, so he needs to be at -17 to keep that going.

Wow.  Wow.  Wow.  I did it.  I fucking totally jinxed the poor kid.  You just can't miss there Jordan.  I've seen him play dozens of rounds this year, and I don't remember him hitting a worse chip, a worse putt and a worse iron than he did in the last 1.5 holes.

306, row 14
Drove it left and into the trees. Second shot was short right (where he wanted it, didn't have a shot at the green). Left the chip way short and then 3-putted.

For the sake of Sunday drama, thank you.

What the fuck happened to Spieth on 17?

Was just in front of the green in 2, and basically chunked the chip, leaving it off the front of the green, and then missed a 3 footer for bogey.

That's so good, considering the situation.  I don't know how you aren't shaking like a fucking leaf in his position, and then to hit a shot in which your hands have to be perfect.  The kid definitely has balls, but we'll see.  I think this putt is absolutely enormous for tomorrow.

What a fucking par. That's unbelievable all things considered, what mental toughness on those two shots.

Yeah that chip on 17 has kept this tournament alive. If he makes a normal chip and pars that hole, it's pretty much over. Rose, Phil, and Hoffman all have a definite shot tomorrow, with the -6 guys having an outside but unlikely chance.
