2 perfect shots for Tiger on 13 leaves him a tap in for Eagle. He's back, baby!

At least for a hole.

Damn, like 3 inches away from an albatross.

Tiger backs off twice. Crowd not settling for him.

Edit: He didn't really seem to enjoy the 16th hole experience there.

Tiger drives it to pin high, inside 20 feet on the par 4 17th. They waive up the next group and Bubba's drive settles down inside 4 feet. Fun stuff.

Edit: Tiger shoots 73. He got things back on the rails over the last 6 holes.

It definitely could have been a whole lot worse for Tiger. He hit a couple great drives coming in, but he missed a bunch way, way right. And that chipping display was scary bad.

His chipping was awful in whatever that event was when he was sick a few months back. Maybe his own small field tourney or whatever. People were chalking it up to illness but it's hard to figure how a guy who was one of the best on tour at chipping is all of a sudden horrendous.

Tiger at Torrey today. Can he break 80?

In seriousness, as painful as it may be to watch, think it's good he's playing. He needs tournament reps.

Shaky +2 through 5 for Tiger, and that includes a chip-in for par. I've been following along via Sobel/Harig on Twitter and it sounds like he's hurt his back again. Grimacing quite a bit.

I sort of hate tournaments that use multiple golf courses

Not watching but the scores on the north course at least at the top seem to be 5-6 shots better. Which course is used for the weekend?

Where it rains. No, seriously.
Lucas Glover just got an unbelievably bad break.  His tee shot found a fairway bunker, and rolled into the impact crater/hole of a prior shot into said bunker (which should have been raked).  Fudges it out across the fairway into ankle deep rough to a tucked pin.  Fluffs it into the front bunker, misses a four footer and makes double.

I've been trapped in the office for pretty much 30 hours straight. I just learned of Billy Casper's death. Sad sad day.

An underrated golfer. 51 tour wins but he slides down the all-time great list due to only three major wins.

Came from seven back at the turn and won the next day in a playoff against Palmer in the 1966 US Open.
