Looked like he tried to bunt it and missed .. It hits his thigh and bounced into the net. No way it's not a goal.
It landed in the goalies glove and the player entered the crease and propelled the puck out of his glove and into the net. It's goalie interference. No goal.

It also looked like Demko saved it and then he ran Demko over into the net while having the puck hit his body.
He definitely bumped the goalie .. But that's not reviewable ..

Edit : and it's not like he bowled him over. The forward is entitled to be in the crease as that's where the puck was.

The only way it isn't a goal is if it went in off his hands or he kicked it .. Neither of these applied .. Obvious goal.
That's simply not true. You are ignoring the goalie interference factor. He can't cause the goal by bowling into the goalie

It did as the puck was going into the net. Watch the goal cam.

He's entitled to the crease, but he's not allowed to move the goalie with his body

Probably tough to reverse the call once it was made, but given the amount of contact with the goalie on the play it should have been waived off from the start. Looks like it went off his left hand into the net as we'll, but tough to say for sure.

There was contact with the goaltender that jarred the puck out of his glove and into the net. It's goalie interference. The goalie doesn't have to be bowled over.

It doesn't matter once it went to video review. If there was any goalie interference it was pretty mild .. But they can't review that.
Since when can you not review goalie interference? Did I miss something?

Silly that goalie interference is not reviewable. The zebras are staring at a call they missed with no recourse

Shitty reffing aside, looks like USA would need to play a perfect game to beat Canada. They're better

We must be looking at different plays. Mcdavids shot bounced off the goalie and up into the air. The Canadian forward tried to bunt it and , from any view I saw, missed, it his his upper thigh and into the net.

Can you not review goalie interference in this tournament? That's bullshit.

I saw it in the glove and then knocked out. We'll agree to disagree.

Edit- I didn't realize the IIHF review rule was different. That explains it.

I assume that's the Canadian BC. I'm a fan of the good BC and America.
Duh.

I'm a dumb american, clearly

(Incidentally, as someone who has played hockey my whole life and made many trips to Canada, I love the place...except when we play them.)

I can't fathom how boring the Bruins game will be after this
What a great observation.

U.S. vs Canada in Olympics or juniors is some of the best hockey to watch. So awesome

The Dirty Shire
Pastrnak had three assists in a must win game for the Czechs today, including a sweet behind the back pass to the slot out front, and a long pass springing a breakaway goal.

That's 7 points in four games for him so far. He looks great.

It kills me they had to play that game at Bell.  And the next one too?  Ugh.

Almost as much as it kills me that Domi was probably their best player.

US was definitely outplayed but there were times when looked good.  Was expecting a little more from Eichel.

Well that sucks.

USA Hockey in need of some changes? Not great results of late.

I dunno, we won the whole damn thing two years ago.
Doesn't USA Hockey also have a role in the Olympics? I recall some odd choices for that team (Orpik).

USA should compete for championships regularly. They have the resources and talent/population.
