23/10/2 with 16 min to go in the game on 9-11 shooting. This kid just doesn't miss when he gets shots up and he's not even close to the defensive liability he was in Philly now that he's in NBA shape.Okafor is still beasting. 20 points, 9 boards and 2 blocks on 8/10 shooting with about 3 minutes to go in the 3rd.. Losing to the Rockets by 3 on the road.
We all know why Davis is asking for a trade now...
I think he got a really bum deal in Philly.23/10/2 with 16 min to go in the game on 9-11 shooting. This kid just doesn't miss when he gets shots up and he's not even close to the defensive liability he was in Philly now that he's in NBA shape.
And now an assist on a nifty backdoor bounce pass.
Watched the second half of this game. Man Jrue Holiday doe not get the props he deserves.New Orleans winning on the road w/o Davis makes me happy. Kenrich Williams gets 8 points and 16 rebounds. Fuck this whole circus.
Yup. End of the day, it comes down to their evaluations of Ball/Ingram. Kuzma and Hart are both going to be 24 before next season and feature more as role players for a good team. If you think Ball and Ingram can develop into tier 1 guys, you do it. I’m not very high on either so there’s no way I pull the trigger when there is a possibility of Tatum in a few months.I don't know if LeBron/Klutch actually helped their case this week.
The TNT crew is observing that the Lakers youngsters are playing like they know they are short-timers and the score makes it hard to disagree.
Demps has to be watching this game and thinking that there is no way he is going to seal his fate by taking in whatever mediocre package Magic and Pelinka are trying to foist on him.
Because the original "Beat LA!" chant was Celtics Nation's expression of grudging respect for the Sixers and eternal antipathy for the Lakers? Why does it feel so dirty to root for the Lakers to beat the Sixers?
Ingram is winning the Twitters at least. Corey Brewer, not so much...The Lakers have made a small run, anyway.
I ask this seriously...….why would Demps ever negotiate a trade within their conference to the Lakers who they are accusing of tampering? Maybe I'm nuts but I'd be very surprised if this is as simple as Davis being traded to the Lakers by next summer.I don't know if LeBron/Klutch actually helped their case this week.

Not me. The worse the Lakers’ assets perform on a national stage the next ten days, the better. Why does it feel so dirty to root for the Lakers to beat the Sixers?
Kuzma and Ball aren't even playing. Not me. The worse the Lakers’ assets perform on a national stage the next ten days, the better.
They’re hurt, too? Or are they being protected? Ingram looks great tonight, at least offensively.Kuzma and Ball aren't even playing.
Ball's out for a bit, Kuzma has missed this game and the last one but should be back soon. They’re hurt, too? Or are they being protected? Ingram looks great tonight.
Okay, properly shamed. Beat LA.Because the original "Beat LA!" chant was Celtics Nation's expression of grudging respect for the Sixers and eternal antipathy for the Lakers?
Edit: also, rooting for LA now means you also secretly want the Rams in the Superbowl and wanted the Dodgers in the World Series.
I generally agree with this, but I guess the counter is that Rich Paul and Magic deliver the message to Demps that if they do the deal now, the Pelicans get everything the Lakers can offer, whereas if they wait until the summer, Paul very firmly puts the word out that Davis won’t re-sign with anyone else, Demp’s leverage tanks, and the Lakers can pull assets back from their offer (keeping one of Ball/Ingram/Kuzma, not including Zubac, fewer future picks, etc.) and still have the top offer.I ask this seriously...….why would Demps ever negotiate a trade within their conference to the Lakers who they are accusing of tampering? DC is on a b2b too. The Pacers are done this year unless they get Conley, and even then the Celtics should pass them comfortably.Pacers getting blitzed in DC. Down 22 midway through 3rd. Celtics will be .5 game out of 4th.
Looking at Indiana's schedule, there is very real chance that including this game, they manage to go something like 8-25 the rest of the way. Being charitable, they may eek out a few more wins but its brutal that this team started off so well and yet may just crack 40 wins when all is said and done,Pacers getting blitzed in DC. Down 22 midway through 3rd. Celtics will be .5 game out of 4th.
Conley is having a better year than Oladipo was.DC is on a b2b too. The Pacers are done this year unless they get Conley, and even then the Celtics should pass them comfortably.
I'm aware--I should have clarified. I meant that the combination of losing these past few games, and the Celtics being on a generally upward trajectory, would make it hard for Indy to keep ahead.Conley is having a better year than Oladipo was.
Debatable and Oladipo is 6'4. Conley is 6'1. It would help them offensively but not much defensively.Conley is having a better year than Oladipo was.
Wiggins' massive regression really sunk the franchise. He looked like he had stuff to build on through his first couple years, and then it's all kind of stagnated since. Is there any team more disappointing the last 2 years than the Wolves? They are currently beating Memphis 84-82 at home with a little less than 7 minutes left.
How does a team with Towns suck so bad? I guess you could same the same about the Pelicans.
As it stands now, the Pacers. They don't have a go to scorer. The Nets will make a run at Indy for the 5 seed.
If the Celts end up with the 3 seed, would you rather face the Pacers or Nets?
I am not really seeing any debate though. Oladipo shoots worse from three, two, and free throw, assists less, turns it over more. Oladipo certainly plays better defense and rebounds better, but this year, it is quite clear who is the better player.Debatable and Oladipo is 6'4. Conley is 6'1. Pacers, but I'd feel fine in both matchups. Sure as hell beats playing Philly in the 1st round. The Nets will make a run at Indy for the 5 seed.

I think the defense makes it debatable, especially when you are talking about Indiana as a whole. They really, really miss Oladipo and Conley doesn't fill that void. He would definitely help on offense though. That team needs someone who can score.I am not really seeing any debate though. Again, Indiana may end up going something like 8-25 or 10-23 the rest of the way out. Their schedule is pretty brutal with a tough west coast swing, a few games against the Cs, Bucks and 76ers as well as some tough home and B2B games. They only have a handful of games against bad teams left. They should still make the playoffs but its also possible that the Wizards manage to sneak past them - all bets are off if they can snag a Conley of course. But Indiana may well be the eight seed when everything is said and done.I think the defense makes it debatable, especially when you are talking about Indiana as a whole. The Knicks, Cavs, Bulls, and Suns are just in another level of losing, with the Hawks not that far ahead; the best anyone else is going to do is 6th worst.Trae Young actually hasn't been that bad outside of November, at least for a rookie.
Pretty sure the Kings could lose the rest of their games and the best the pick would be is 6th or 7th.
