How does that ref even think of giving the Colts' Nelson a touchdown there? It wasn't even close.

How strong is Lamar Jackson? He just picked up Mark Ingram off the ground by the shoulder pads like he was nothing.

A season ticket holder, but a Pats fan first and always.

I would be apoplectic about the Patriots passing on Lamar twice — but with the Brady timetable, it was never going to work out. Lamar would relegated to running gadget plays in NE.

That said, trading Lamar to Baltimore, the Pats probably gave the Ravens a 12-year lifeline.
Ahh ok. Thanks for the response. I know you post a lot about the ravens. Now it makes sense.

To sit on the bench.

He’s had the benefit of playing for a team that has designed its offensive scheme around him, a luxury he wasn’t getting as the Pats backup. Situation matters greatly.
Yup. Brady made drafting him untenable. Hell, we may not see the Stidham succession.

But in dealing him to Baltimore they dealt Lamar to an excellent organization with a superb coaching staff that would use him the right way.

I don't disagree, but supposedly he was on the Pats short-list at #31, and we were already down 2 back-up QBs, so adding another one wouldn't have been outrageous.

I'm a bit behind this thread. Been making red beans and rice with red zone in the background.

Is the only overturned PI call in the entire NFL this season the one against Josh Gordon?

Quentin Nelson had the best TD celebration in ball NFL history. They should get an extra 6 points or something for that. (I know it was overturned)

The thing that worries me most for THIS year is the improvement in Baltimore’s defense. Combine that with Lamar’s progress, a beastly running game and great special teams, and you have a problem.

The Ravens winning decreases the Pats' chances of getting the #1 seed, but increases the chances of (ed: the Pats) getting a bye.

The key will be, if some team steps up and punches them in the mouth, do they recover. Otherwise, I agree with you

Pats need a semblance of a healthy O-line to win against the Ravens. I think the Pats D will show better a 2nd time around.

Michael Bennett with the bad penalty on 4th and 2...giving Lions a first down.

The Redskins are really something. Jets up 20-3 and ... I’m happy but not that happy. Redskins are beating themselves more than the Jets are winning.

Who the fuck questions going for 2 down 10 in the 4th quarter? If you kick the PAT, you're still down 2 possessions. I swear, the networks deliberately hire morons to work these games.

DT just got called for OPI, it’s getting challenged

You will not believe this call if you see it.
Defender runs at DT and blows him up, pass goes to another jet (aforementioned Griffin). Flag comes out, DT is incensed, replay is shown, hilarity ensues.

Hmmm...need another replay but that Ravens TD could be a fumble then touched by Ravens player while OOB.

Edit: overturned. Jets have won two challenges today.

Daniel Snyder will have as big a spending spree as he can possibly have this offseason. Because he knows BIG NAMES are going to turn that team around.

Le’Veon my wayward son
They’ll be TDs when you’re done
lay your weary head to rest
Jets won’t cry no more

It was so nice being friends again
There I was giving you a second chance
But then you stabbed my back while shaking my hand
And therein lies the issue
Friends don’t try to trick you
And so I took an ax to a mended fence
I just told ya
I love ya

The Saints vs Bucs game had an OPI called within one yard of the line of scrimmage (impossible). Ariana challenges correctly.

Pereira is on split screen explaining why it shouldn’t have been called, and it will be overtur...

call stands.
And Pereira just kind of stops and just can’t find anything to say.
