We should ask the following fanbases:Good lord, can you imagine watching Fernando Rodney trying to close out a game you actually care about?
Not as good as this guyWhy did this guy never make the majors???

Joe Harris would have squared the circle of 30-something middle relievers with interchangeable names.
Hinch panickedNever should have taken Greinke out. Dude was in complete control.
That pitch. Lucky he was looking for something else.Meatball marinara just went by
I just dumped last week. Too many streaming errors.Man, Hulu is way behind
Doolittle has been good this postseason, three scoreless in three games so far this series. He was terrible for a while down the stretch, but seems to have found it again.Think I might have Corbin start the 8th. He’s best option other than Hudson
I agree with this. Hudson is one fart away from becoming the shart we always knew he was.Think I might have Corbin start the 8th. He’s best option other than Hudson
I was screaming at the TV in every game of the ALCS. Pins and needles are no big deal.I’ve been rooting for the Nats every series, but I certainly don’t LOVE them. And I’m on pins and needles. How in the world did I stay sane in 2004?
I suspect that this post might be schtick-less.Fuck, can this bullpen do this?
It’s so stressful. It could go either way, really. I wonder what will happen.
Okay, got it.Joe Smith is a submariner and Will Smith's personal catcher is DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Think he will get a massive extension to stay in WAS, think Rendon might leave.Wait'll Strasberg makes his way to bullpen. He'll be someone else's TJ problem next year anyway!
Baby shart.I agree with this. Hudson is one fart away from becoming the shart we always knew he was.
Come-from-behind lead-changing HR, that is. Only need to go back to 2016 for a tying HR in late innings.Kendrick only second player in history to hit come from behind HR in Game 7 in 7th inning or later.
If they don't come back, they added Cole to a title-winning team for two seasons and didn't win another, no way he resigns there.Having a series winning lead late in a game is a feeling I know all too well. Astros fans aren't going to recover quickly from this loss. (If they lose)
10 years/ 350.Holy shit:
"Anthony Rendon's plate appearances in the 7th inning or later of the Nationals' five elimination games this season: Walk, double, home run, double, home run, double, home run"
It was artificial earnestness, to provide a phony counterpoint to the sarcasm of the game thread, which is kind of shtick. And, ironically, actually sarcastic.I suspect that this post might be schtick-less.
I think the reverse is true.Think he will get a massive extension to stay in WAS, think Rendon might leave.
Wow.Holy shit:
"Anthony Rendon's plate appearances in the 7th inning or later of the Nationals' five elimination games this season: Walk, double, home run, double, home run, double, home run"
yea i think if they let anyone walk it is stras. Stras has been great but typically doesnt throw a ton of innings. Rendon is more importantI think the reverse is true.
