We only missed him for Game 7, he got hurt late in Game 6.I think it was only 13 or 14. that's nothing in the NBA. That was one my favorite runs in the history of Boston playoff sports. No it didn't result in victory but they beat two favored teams- Cavs and Magic and took the favored stinking Lakers to 7 games missing Kendrick Perkins.
Around here, people were fond of quoting Doc Rivers' reminder to the team, that "this starting lineup has never been beaten in a playoff series" (Garnett, among others, was hurt in '09). Nowhere was that echoed more than after that Game 7... except perhaps when Perk was traded in Feb 2011 in the Jeff Green trade (I remember someone's post in the port cellar, glumly saying "...and now no one ever will").
