Explain to me about the two Californias again, GeorgeHunter Renfroe speaks exactly how you would expect Hunter Renfroe to speak.
He's going to lose 20 pounds?Castillo will be 300 lbs 6 months after he retires.
come on..no walks.
It's not remotely understandable because the rules allow the ump to check with a base ump for a reason, they are more likely to get the call right. In the biggest spot in the game, with essentially the whole series on the line, Nelson failed to use the help that was there for him.Swinging strike or not is simply umpire discretion, not if the guy broke the plane. Understandable call with the rule as written and I have zero issue with it.
I say this as someone who had much less a concern with the signs scandal compared to the Taubman taunts regarding Osuna.
I think it's 50/50 whether that's a strike on appeal. Maybe you correct down for the situation, but it wasn't an obvious no-swing.Brutal non ask by the home plate ump, game on the line... and he got the call wrong
This is a fair take and your last point is one echoed by the TBS panel after the game. The appeal itself seemed easy enough.I think it's 50/50 whether that's a strike on appeal. Maybe you correct down for the situation, but it wasn't an obvious no-swing.
I'd agree that it was close enough that he should have asked 1B instead of calling it himself, I just disagree that it's a foregone conclusion that 1B would have decided differently.
Preach.A team takes a 3-0 lead in a best of 7 is the gift that keeps on giving.
You must be referring to that Bruins-Flyers series from a few years ago.A team takes a 3-0 lead in a best of 7 is the gift that keeps on giving.
I'd be this salty too, if my team had spent by-far the most money of any team in the league in the last 11 years and had not even a pennant to show for it.You must be referring to that Bruins-Flyers series from a few years ago.
Yes, it’s just killing me. Baseball is so important when you get into your 70s. I almost jumped off the scoreboard at McCoy Stadium after the LDS loss to Tampa but couldn’t get inside the park.I'd be this salty too, if my team had spent by-far the most money of any team in the league in the last 11 years and had not even a pennant to show for it.
When did the Mormons start fielding their own team?Yes, it’s just killing me. Baseball is so important when you get into your 70s. I almost jumped off the scoreboard at McCoy Stadium after the LDS loss to Tampa but couldn’t get inside the park.
Yeah, these jackasses skated with no punishment whatsoever for their scheme. If a few close calls go against them, too bad so sad. It almost seemed like an FU type of call...an appeal is pretty standard in that situation but the home plate ump emphatically punches him out instead. GTFO, Altuve. I don’t know if that’s intentional, but if it was I’d be totally fine with it.This is a fair take and your last point is one echoed by the TBS panel after the game. Again, unless you are part of the Astros organization or one of their fans, there will be few tears for that call. However if Nelson made that same choice with any other team, it would likely be a much bigger issue today.
5pm and 6pm tomorrow and Friday, although hopefully not necessary.I am so angry about the timing of these games. Instead of starting the Dodgers when their fans are home and ready to watch baseball, and letting people watch the Rays when they are still awake, again and again the Dodgers are early and the Rays are late.
The Dodgers were the late game on Monday and also on Thursday and Friday, seems like they are trying to keep it even. One issue is that since the AL games are in California, putting them earlier means that sun/shadows mess up the early part of the game.I am so angry about the timing of these games. Instead of starting the Dodgers when their fans are home and ready to watch baseball, and letting people watch the Rays when they are still awake, again and again the Dodgers are early and the Rays are late.
Dodgers were the later game for game 1 and they're playing an east coast team, really no way to make everyone happy. If they start games when Dodgers fans are ready to watch baseball then you're asking Atlanta fans to stay up until potentially what, 1-2am?I am so angry about the timing of these games. Instead of starting the Dodgers when their fans are home and ready to watch baseball, and letting people watch the Rays when they are still awake, again and again the Dodgers are early and the Rays are late.
That would be 10 AM local time for the players.the real issue is they refuse to do any 1pm weekday games in the LCS round, even this year when more people are at home.
I think your Geaux’s have been instrumental to the run!4 pm Eastern is a nice time. But might create the light and shadows problem late in the game. Don't know. I hope I can make it through the seventh inning stretch tonight.
Geaux. Rays!
Don't let them win tonight. Because they have Framber Valdez on short rest tomorrow, then Lance McCullers, Jr. ... oh never mind.A team takes a 3-0 lead in a best of 7 is the gift that keeps on giving.
Why's that?Rooting against Greinke makes me feel so dirty. I hate it.
I adore him. He's been one of my favorite players for like 15 years now. Why's that?
Yeah. It's tough rooting against him, I agree.I adore him. He's been one of my favorite players for like 15 years now.
He is striking out the 3rd out on a pitch in the dirt with the bases loaded 3-2Greinke, WTF are you doing?
That and the 2-1 strike call to Brosseau were killers for the Rays that inning.Timmons on the take, there. That was an atrocious 3rd strike call on an textbook checked swing by Arozarena with two on in a 2-run game. Appalling.
