I really hope the Phillies go scoreless in the 8th, because I want to see the Kimbrell save attempt
He will be unable to throw balls in the strike zone, but will get outs and the save in a way that makes all wonder how he does it.

Anyone want to guess how many blown saves Kimbrell has in the playoffs?

Ok, I will tell you. Zero. In 12 H/S attempts.

Why has Kimbrel played for so many teams? Obviously consistent throughout his career but 8 teams in 13 years.

That is a shock. It just never felt that way when he was on the Sox.
6-6 in 2018, and so heavily used that Sale got to be the guy on the mound to close it out. In the 4 recent championships, that is the only one won without our closer getting the last out.

The pitch clock is awesome, but I am missing the old way a little. Just not enough time to let the tension build. Can you imagine the 2004 ALCS with the clock?

Different doesn’t necessarily mean worse, and I know we can never go back, but I would add some time.

That was a fun game but this postseason has to be setting a record for percentage of games with zero lead changes.

They do but Rangers kind of giving off that vibe as well. It’s the matchup I really want to see. Astros can GTFO and DBacks are young and figure to be around for some time.
TEX 6-0 on the road already in that Philly atmosphere would be cool to see, I am rooting for that also.

Yup. It would also set up the hilarious no-win situation for Mets fans of having to watch their Scherzer trade help a team to win it all or watch the hated Phillies celebrate. Guessing most would choose the former.

I won't lie, I:

1) Don't hate the in game interviews as much at others, though I prefer when it is limited to guys who aren't actually in the game (NESN interview Houck on one of his days off the final week of the season and it was really good, but the quick, dirty "Tell us about that home run you just hit" stuff has got to go)

2) I am really, really digging this long interview that TBS is doing with Christian Walker during his BP session tonight

Even Nestor has a beard doing the pregame stuff. When are the Yankees going to get rid of that stupid rule?
