We know it because we lived it. But the bottom line is that it is very hard for Kimbrel to beat you if you lay off balls. He relies on guys to get themselves out and if you can lay off, he has trouble throwing strikes.

Edit -- in case not clear, I'm talking about Perdomo at bat. After not getting the runner to third, he saved them with a couple of brilliant takes. That was the at bat of the game, and one of those at bats that never gets remembered.

We didn't go to the concert b/c my husband is done in from combo of dental procedure and Shingrix shot. So glad, b/c that was so much fun, seeing how nice it is when Kimbrel is on somebody else's team.

Which is why he was my least favorite closer of all the championship teams. But I know I'm not alone in that regard.

Please win, Texas. I have zero faith they do and think it might be a blowout loss.

Edit: this was posted before the first pitch, board timeout delayed it boooo

Also if the umps don't call strikes and checked swings properly.
Yeah, what was up with that? I don't think it was outcome determinative. In fact, I think the checked swing being called a ball actually turned out to help the Phillies in the end, right? They got the out and the runner didn't advance from second, so it took away the chance to win with a sac fly. But still that was pretty awful.
