Slick move. Suggests that he knows he has no defense for him and wants no part of dancing around the press’ questions.Kerr says he somehow didn't see the Green play live.
TNT isn’t touching the ejection.

I believe it, Kerr was on the opposite end of the floor and the ball was already on it's way up court. Of course he saw the replays, he just has nothing to say.Kerr says he somehow didn't see the Green play live.
Should be an even faster and more frantic pace in G3 with a (likely) Green suspension and Sabonis (maybe) out of commission. Both of the games this series have been incredible to watch.
Let me ask you a question bc I don’t want to put words in anyone’s mouth as if I read how awful a player Rui is I’d think you’d expect him to sign a min-contract as a RFA this summer. What do you expect his market to be?He's been atrocious by DARKO his entire career.
I guess DARKO could be wildly off on him, but 99% of the players that are consistently -2 on DARKO for many seasons into their age 25 season are just.... not good.
Perhaps Rui is the exception. Or Perhaps he had a nice game and will go back to sucking. Time will tell.

Well that’s up to Rob Pelinka.Let me ask you a question bc I don’t want to put words in anyone’s mouth as if I read how awful a player Rui is I’d think you’d expect him to sign a min-contract as a RFA this summer. What do you expect his market to be?
I feel his floor is whatever the MLE comes out to, like 3/$30m with his upside in the $15m AAV range.
Not really. Rui’s agents job is to bring Rob an offer sheet so his market, while diminished by his RFA status, will still be determined.Well that’s up to Rob Pelinka.
Beyond the play... Draymond was taunting the crowd after the play up until he got ejected. It's telling that not a single player, assistant coach or Kerr made any attempt to tell him to STFU. Because Draymond is a bully who has been enabled by a coach and team that likes to pretend they're above it all and that what Draymond does is somehow ok within the norms of basketball.Kerr has somehow never seen any of Draymond's dozens of dirty plays, even on replay. He's like a Republican Congressman with a Trump tweet.
Tatum vetoed that measureImpressive how Mike Brown gets his team to press their offense the entire game.
I would like to see the Celtics to do the same
It's tiring just to watch the Kings keep that up, which makes me wonder whether they can do it on the road, without the home crowd.Tatum vetoed that measure
Honestly, if your deep guys can play, the short rotations may do more harm than good.Remember when coaches shortened their rotations for the postseason? We’ve seen 20 players take the floor in the 1H tonight.
Hahahaha, of course.Kerr says he somehow didn't see the Green play live.
If that play was reversed and Sabonis stomped on Green, Kerr would have gone on a 5 minute sanctimonious monologue about how awful it was and how it’s disrespectful to the game.Beyond the play... It was all cute and gamesmanship when Draymond was just tackling guys, but once 250 lb dudes start stomping on other dudes' chests, you cross into "could actually kill someone" territory. If that play was reversed and Sabonis stomped on Green, Kerr would have gone on a 5 minute sanctimonious monologue about how awful it was and how it’s disrespectful to the game.
draymond does it and crickets
Old habits die really hard. I'd dislike the Dubs a lot less if they still played in Oracle. One factor I hadn't considered: how much of Oracle will be Kings' fans? The two teams have not been good at the same time in basically ever, so I'm curious.
Oof, my bad lol. Whatever their new thing is called.Old habits die really hard. I'd dislike the Dubs a lot less if they still played in Oracle.
Reminded me of Reggie Jackson sticking his tush out and getting hit by the ball in the 78 World Series. Only Green got away with it. Maybe the foot stomp doesn't happen if they don't overturn the first call. You can't convince me that Green didn't do that on purpose. It's what he does.
The grabbing someone’s foot/holding onto their leg is relatively common. A bit of gamesmanship to slow them down from getting back into the play. How is grabbing someone's foot worse than purposely falling/sitting on someone?
Don't forget the: "he broke the code" lecture from last year's playoffs. Kerr is a fraud. So Kerr went on a lecture tour after Marcus Smart collided with Steph Curry on a bang bang hustle play, but when his player stops an opponent, crickets.
Green stomping on Sabonis, if it happened elsewhere, could result in a criminal charge.
It’d be nice to have a reporter ask him if he thinks continuing to enable green is working.Don't forget the: "he broke the code" lecture from last year's playoffs. Kerr is a fraud.
They were mentioning after the broadcast that the Kings actually have a better record away.Just watched the Kings game.
1. Wow. Love the Kings energy. New favorite non-Celtics' team. The way they committed to pushing on nearly every possession was beyond impressive.
2. Mitchell was a monster on Curry, and the rest of the team was really dialed in to the defensive gameplan. Great coaching and execution.
3. Draymond is a foul, revolting human being when he steps in the lines of a basketball court. That was one of the more dangerous plays I've ever seen, and playing the heel to the crowd after it was disgusting. It sounds hyperbolic, but he will end up seriously injuring someone (or worse) if he isn't forced off the court or kept on an incredibly tight leash by the league. Stomping on someone's sternum.....I don't even want to think about how that could have ended.
I expect the series to have more twists and turns, because the Kings will have a hard time maintaining that energy level in Oracle, and the Warriors are much better there. I'd love to Draymond and his morally repugnant enabler Kerr out of the playoffs in 4, but 7 seems more likely to me.
Yeah.. he knew Sabonis was behind him.. he definitely was hoping to catch him trying to get back in play.. it’s what he doesReminded me of Reggie Jackson sticking his tush out and getting hit by the ball in the 78 World Series. Not only does no one on the Warriors call him out, they double down:The grabbing someone’s foot/holding onto their leg is relatively common. A bit of gamesmanship to slow them down from getting back into the play.
ive literally never seen someone respond to that by turning around, looking at the person on the ground and stomping on their chest.
The woofing and screaming at the crowd after the ejection was fucking embarrassing. The fact that no coach or teammate stepped in and pushed him to the back is mind boggling and tells you everything you need to know about that team.
BTW, last year werent Kerr, Klay and Draymond talking about how offensive it was for Boston fans to use the F word and acting like that was a crime against humanity? Interesting that that’s crossing the line but it’s perfectly fine for Draymond to scream “Pussy!!” Over and over at Kings fans
When was Green running full speed there, Klay? Not only does no one on the Warriors call him out, they double down:

This doesn’t surprise me too much. Klay doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb and is constantly putting forth weak ass defenses for Draymond. His horror that fans might say fuck is exhibit A.Not only does no one on the Warriors call him out, they double down:

Most deep guys are far inferior though. The Kings went on a quick 16-4 run to flip the game at start of the 2Q after the Warriors inserted Kuminga for Curry when they went deep….the Warriors never saw the lead again. Sure, Poole and Donte sucked during that stretch too but using a full second unit on the road in a playoff game is something Kerr should be questioned for doing.Honestly, if your deep guys can play, the short rotations may do more harm than good.
Holy hyperbole batman. It was a dirty play. There was zero chance of anyone dying. My godIt was all cute and gamesmanship when Draymond was just tackling guys, but once 250 lb dudes start stomping on other dudes' chests, you cross into "could actually kill someone" territory.
The Warriors don't really have their core rotation figured out and that has been the case throughout the year, especially with different injuries and acquisitions throughout the season. One of the concerns about them heading into the playoffs is that they didn't have their rotation hammered out and it was unclear who was going to play off the bench for them. Most deep guys are far inferior though. He's 25 with a good NBA body (athletic 6'8" with a 7'2" wingspan). He'll get paid. That doesn't mean that he's good now. He'll be getting paid for ceiling.Let me ask you a question bc I don’t want to put words in anyone’s mouth as if I read how awful a player Rui is I’d think you’d expect him to sign a min-contract as a RFA this summer. I don’t disagree with any of this. When it happened though I was like whoa is this a preseason game…..and then we saw the results. Not Kerr’s finest moment and I’ve been critics of his in-game decision making for years. Right place at right time kinda guy.The Warriors don't really have their core rotation figured out and that has been the case throughout the year, especially with different injuries and acquisitions throughout the season. It's also early in the series and all teams are still trying to figure out which fringe guys can and cannot play based on matchup.
It's not hyperbole at all. Being a huge guy and stomping directly down on a person's chest is insanely dangerous. Maybe you trust Draymond Green to precisely regulate the force applied to send the appropriate message, lol.Holy hyperbole batman. It was a dirty play. There was zero chance of anyone dying. My god
Kerr represents his team and backs his guys. He's not impartial. It's annoying but can't be all that surprising.Don't forget the: "he broke the code" lecture from last year's playoffs. Kerr is a fraud.
Silver was in attendance and I think he almost has to suspend Draymond. Will Silver have the guts to suspend Draymond? I certainly hope so.
The Sabonis grab is a nothingburger; I was surprised how nothing it was as I read the commentary and 'defenses' from GS players before seeing it.
Green seems like an unhinged guy somewhat often; I hope that does not end up leading to something really bad post-career when his competitive fire cannot be satisfied primarily by sports.
Yeah all that is expected PR as none of them are going to call out Draymond which would all but assure he’d be suspended. He still may but this is a business and ratings are king…..the NBA wants eyeballs on Sabonis and Draymond for G3 I have to believe.Kerr represents his team and backs his guys. He's not impartial. It's annoying but can't be all that surprising.
Then the backlash he gets for his self-serving comments, particularly here, is also fair.Kerr represents his team and backs his guys. He's not impartial. It's annoying but can't be all that surprising.
is the X ray a way for the Warriors to bench Green due to "injury" before the NBA has a chance to?Calling out Sabonis for the dirty play is, whatever, since he did get a Flagrant 1. Sabonis also got completely in Draymond's head, causing Green to react by committing a Flagrant 2 and getting ejected from a close game so lol. Green so embarrassed himself he "is asking for an X-Ray (!)." I mean usually a doctor or a trainer tells you when to get an X-Ray, but sure, makes sense in Wariror-land to ask for an X-Ray as part of a plan to blame others for your actions..
Also, fuck Kerr, fuck Green, fuck Klay and fuck the NBA.*
*Sorry for the offensive language.
also, seems the stomp would be more likely to cause an injury than the grab
Sabonis has a great future in MMA if he was able to seriously damage an elite athlete's ankle with that kind of grip and positioning.Calling out Sabonis for the dirty play is, whatever, since he did get a Flagrant 1. Especially for such a champion of social justice. Green clocking Poole in the preseason without repercussions was an embarrassment. Then the backlash he gets for his self-serving comments, particularly here, is also fair.
The "Frozen Envelope NBA Conspiracy Theory" twitter handle would like to adopt this post!is the X ray a way for the Warriors to bench Green due to "injury" before the NBA has a chance to?
