Quick google search says the cheapest season tickets are a little over $2100 for the Yankees and $4100 for the Red Sox
The only year my family had season tickets was in 2001 and we were sitting in the middle of the bleacher creatures out there. It was $8 a ticket, $648 for the whole year, more than 20 years ago.

This Diamondbacks price is $3.69 a game, plus exhibition games.

The deal is that you get one seat for each game in the upper levels with the opportunity to purchase a guest pass for a second. My guess is that the guest ticket is at regular price, so unless you want to go alone or coordinate with someone who also bought into the deal, it's more of a 2 for 1 special.

10.1 K, 2.4 BB per 9 is very good. But 1.5 HR isn't, he's going to be 36, and his last 3 years have been 104.1, 0, and 106.1 IP. Price is about right but I don't feel like we missed out, provided they pick up at least two guys better than him.
Comerica will suppress some of those HRs.

Detroit still has 4/$98 left on that Baez contract. Yuck.

Detroit had surprisingly good starting pitching last year. I wonder if they see mid-tier guys like Maeda as fifth starters who they can trade at the deadline to needy contenders.

Granted, this is not the first time people have had this thought about this version of the Tigers, but they could be a stealth contender next year. Manning and Skubal were good, they'll get Mize back, Tork broke through, Greene is good, and - perhaps most importantly - the bar in the AL Central is not high.

I wouldn't bet money on it or anything, but I wouldn't be shocked, either.

Don't sleep on Kerry Carpenter, either. A bit of a late bloomer, but started to look like he was putting it together last year.

Yeah that's gonna look like one of the better SP deals when this is all done.

With Milwaukee looking like they're about to take a step back, though, the NLCentral could be up for grabs
Right, the Cubs might also lose two of their best players from last year to free agency. We’re all excited about the young Reds, but no guarantees they’ll follow a linear trajectory to success. The Cardinals are still a team with a lot of talent on paper.

Things appear to be moving pretty quick. Which is what happened last year with lots of deals getting done before the Winter Meetings.
Both the speed and numbers are a little surprising considering how many teams aren't sure of their local TV deals right now. They obviously aren't too concerned about lost revenue.

The rush to sign/trade for mid-tier players suggests to me that teams are more interested in picking up those guys than breaking the bank on the top-tier guys.

I guess Sonny Gray is a top-tier-ish signing in terms of per-year money, but it's only a 3-year deal and his market was limited since (AFAIK) he has yet to prove he can handle pitching/wants to pitch in an intense media environment.

He has made it very clear to everyone in the Mariners organization that he wants to pitch here. With no impact bats likely to sign in Seattle, I think they should do it.
