Steelers fail in 4th and goal. I guess it was the right call.

@CFB_Rules - can you explain what just happened in the Falcons-Panthers game? There was a Falcons punt, and both teams committed personal fouls - a horsecollar tackle by the Falcons, and Carolina player blocking while out of bounds - and the penalties were ruled as offsetting (I think?), and the ball was spotted at the 1 yard line where the horsecollar occurred. Really, really odd.

A dumb guilty pleasure on NFL Sundays: find a good player having a very bad day, and then go to their comment section on the Yahoo fantasy app to see their owners losing it. Burrow getting it bad today.

They can’t have gotten that right. Would set up crazy incentives.

What are the rules and rags around the switching games? Fox in Boston has been on the San Francisco Pittsburgh game forever and we have 11 1/2 minutes left and it’s been totally uncompetitive the whole way.

Looks like Baker got a bad spot on 4th down.

but it also looked like they moved it forward after the original foot placement. First down Bucs.

Kenny Pickett has gotta be sapping any enthusiasm Steelers fans had coming into the season. What an awful decision to throw into double coverage for the INT.

SF defense is literally the best in the game. But, yeah, Kenny isn't having a good game.

Announcers all but eulogizing the Steelers. Hopefully they can salvage something going into the rest of the season kind of stuff.

Let me try to find it. NFL rules on offsetting fouls are different from other levels of football.

I'm not sure they actually called them "offsetting". Dean Blandino said something about them both being post-possession fouls, after the punt was in the air, but I don't understand why the play was allowed to stand, and how the Falcons got to benefit so massively from the spot. (That horsecollar tackle almost literally won the game for the tackling team - Carolina went 3 and out and had to punt from their own end zone, and the Falcons were able to go up by two scores from the great field position that resulted.)
