Dominican baseball energy gives me life. It's an incredible party, it doesn't stop, on field or in the stands. Everyone is having unmeasured fun.

These jerseys make me really happy. Venezuela should have had an exhibition game with the Savannah Bananas.

Holy crap the energy.

Also I love how colorful both these teams jerseys are.
I’ve watched Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, Czechia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and now Venezuela and DR. The US uniforms are easily the worst. The insignia on the hat is basically illegible, and the design on the front of the uni is weak. Mexico, Colombia, China, Venezuela, PR, and DR are straight fire.
I am loving WBC. Exciting baseball.
I am totally into this. The crowds in Taiwan and Miami, especially, have been awesome.

P.S. Devers looks really heavy; I don’t like it.

This is such a great match-up. And then the PrimeTime game is Great Britain vs. U.S.A. Really? I'd be thrilled if GB could do anything against USA, but isn't it highly unlikely?
Wow, that was way too close to Altuve.

Acuna can put this one away with one swing.

(Although yes DR has a hell of a lineup and can come back)

Runaway winner in the worst dressed category is now Great Britain. Looks like their real jerseys got held up at customs.

Anyone have a decent stream for the USA game, since Sling doesn't carry regular Fox?

Edit: Nevermind, Foxsports.com wasn't working, but its up now.

Vance Worley and Adam Wainwright throwing 87 mph slop in plain white and gray uniforms is as stark a contrast as imaginable to the electric atmosphere and play in the DR-Venezuela game.

Can someone explain to me how the rosters specifically for many international teams are chosen? There seems to be a bunch of Americans playing on international teams. Do they even have dual citizenship? I’m 50% Irish. Does that qualify me to suit up for team GB?

I think we reinstated Lend-Lease so the limeys could field a team.

But do their buttons work, because doesn’t look like the Venezuelan buttons work

No it qualifies you to suit up for Ireland in the qualifiers

Those are Americans not good enough to play for team USA

I believe you either have to be born in the country, have a parent born in the country, or have a reasonable chance at being granted citizenship if you applied for it (and you don't have to have actually applied).

The latter category is why you see a bunch of Americans on the Italian and Israeli teams, I believe. Trayce Thompson's father is from a former British colony, which is an amusingly remote connection.
