I'd say a crushing loss for Arizona, but given this offseason ... who knows

D-backs are going to be thinking about that pitch call to Seager. Walked way too many this game... but they could have won this.

Adolis is almost 31. Not a FA until after 2026 season. Rangers are going to have to reward him with something nice this offseason.

Texas, the Lone Star State, we call it. The stars at night, are big and bright, Moe Bandy once harmonized. None had a star shine brighter than that of Adolis Garcia, with a deft flick of his wrists, in his power, of will and adroitness alike. Lone? Well, you see, that comes in because that's all of us, as a roaring crowd as one, of this great game. We make the sweetest, most intoxicating of music.

Just catching up, that was a fantastic game.

After they showed that these two teams had the best fielding percentages in MLB early on, I checked their team DRS numbers and they were very good but not top 2. TOR was way ahead of everyone with Varsho and Kiermaier and Chapman, +83. ARI was 4th at +45 and TEX was 7th at +38.

DraftKings was trying to sucker me into making a bet on the game yesterday with an odds boost for a same-game parlay. It worked and I just quickly threw together a four item parlay: Eovaldi and Gallen each to get 4 K’s and Seager and Garcia to each hit a home run. I’m not sure it was the smartest bet, but it worked out.

The Diamondbacks are now 0-3 on the road in the World Series when leading by multiple runs entering the bottom of the 9th inning.

All other teams in World Series history are 225-1 in that position. Coincidentally, the one loss belongs to the Rangers, who are 0-1 in such spots (Game 6 in 2011).

The '05 White Sox say hello
Honestly, the 2013 Red Sox are up there, especially the fact that team somehow won 97 games because pretty much everyone had a career year. You take a 69-win Bobby Valentine debacle, add a few decent-nice pieces, a pretty bad manager, and suddenly you’re arguably the best team in baseball and win it all. Total lightning in a bottle.

Mike Carp had an .855 OPS in 250 PA. Mike Carp!

Yeah this and maybe some Pedey too. Its not just the clutch hits. The dude loves playing baseball whether its in the field (I know Papi wasn't a position player so the comparison flops here) or at the dish. He just has a joy about him. Baseball isn't work or a chore or something hard. Its just fun.

Some Arozarena too, I think.

The mlbn pre=game is vastly superior to the nonsense on FOX. Mainly b/c of Pedro Martinez.
Adrian Beltre is throwing out the first pitch. He was chatting with Pedro earlier, with his kid, Jr., alongside.

Lovullo looked tired when the camera scanned around to different people after the anthem. Not that he did anything wrong last night. Pretty good anthem by the way.
