I'm out on Fields (even being somewhat of a fanboy) getting his career on the right track in Pittsburgh. I don't like the Tomlin + Smith pairing with a developmental guy.

But as a fan of the team with default rose colored glasses on I'd be clapping at the effort right now. They secured 2 of the best readily available stabs at finding good QB play for 2024 outside signing Cousins to that monster deal. For low to zero risk cost peanuts. This is a way smarter play imo then trying to trade up in the draft and making another reach pick on a hopeful TINSTAAFQB.

i can see this working 2 ways russ has 1 more big season meaning u win 11-12 plus a playoff game and then u pay 4y/160 for russ
or he keeps his decline up goes 8-9 9-8 then is out of the NFL by 26 great deal on fields hell denver shouild had matched for that price

but u need courtland sutton Den suttion made around 1/3 of wilson td's happened wilson is a deep ball thrower

Can't believe this thread has been so quiet. That was a hell of a game and glad to be there to watch.

And now Ravens week is upon us.

This team has the talent to finally win a playoff game.

TJ Watt is one of the best players I have ever seen play the game.

I'm loving Russ' success. Not so much because I'm a huge fan of him or the Steelers (though my second ever NFL game as a kid was a Steelers game, so always a soft spot), but his critics seemed more motivated by hatred of his too cool style than by his actual play.

Glad he's doing well and shutting up the haters (and the Fields stans, of whom there are many -- good kid, but not a great QB).

This team relies on its defense and kicking field goals far too much.

The schedule ahead is brutal.

I am preparing for the annual Tomlin finishes at .500 and the team exits the playoffs in round one.
