White and Porzingis are out so that means this may not be easy given how the last contest went. Stay winning.

Gonna be at the game tonight. NC State just pulled off five wins in five nights in DC…one more than the four home wins the Wizards have had all season. Tonight won’t be the night when the Wiz pull even with the Wolfpack.

nowhere, really
The boy and I will be there, too - ESPN says Tatum and Brown are also questionable. Any talk going around Boston about whether they’re likely to play?

He had an injury that stopped him from being able to shoot them, but I’d love to see him take one lol.
Was that why? I've assumed that it was a decision that he (or his trainers, or his teams) had made, that it was more valuable to have him in the dunkers spot for easy lobs and offensive rebounds than to have him sitting around the perimeter hitting 35% (at best) on wide open 3's.

I’m sure there was more to it than just the injury, but that was the short answer he gave Bobby Manning once.

I just dug a bit more and found a story, it seems like the injuries impacted his ability to hit them, and then he decided to just focus on more traditional big man stuff.

Our own Bobby Manning actually asked Luke directly about his early career. He spoke about some injuries he had earlier in his career and the impact that they had on what he’s focused on.

“The time in Chicago was definitely very difficult, especially because it seemed like all your abilities, it’s like, alright what’s going on? You didn’t even know what was happening, but I think that in a lot of ways was great because it helped me be able to accept a certain role that I had that was different than what I’d done a lot in a lot of my career and be able to improve in that, and I think that’s actually become useful here in Boston, helping as a screener, roller, offensive rebounder and all that stuff. If it wasn’t for my injuries, I never would’ve taken the time to actually improve and address those things. At the time I wasn’t grateful for it, but I think now I’m appreciative. It was definitely very difficult and hard and some dark days.”

I am gonna be at the not in nova arena soon. mixed feelings on whether I want JT to continue to build his MVP case today. Or is there some other reason he should be playing?

I'm guessing he's not happy with how he's been playing lately, and is trying to shoot his way out of it. I'm fine with that, as long as he has tomorrow off.

I mean everyone remembers when JT said prior to I think a Charlotte away game that he feels like he should play if he can because people pay to come see him, and there are a ton of C's fans at a game like this.

Every time I hear anyone talk about Horford "turning back the clock" after he hits a 3, I can't help but laugh. I absolutely get the sentiment, but Al didn't become a 3 point shooter until he was 29, his last year in Atlanta. He's shot better over the last 2 years (since the 2022 playoffs) than at any other point in his career. When exactly is he turning back the clock too?

Cs have 14 3s, and only 7 2s, hitting them at roughly the same rate. I wish boxscores counted raw possessions. They must be at 1.8 points a possession or something. They're at more than 2 points per shot.

Joe might need to grab some Cs fans from the stands to play garbage time for this one.

There’s this woman behind me in the stands in a Horford jersey who has been screaming at the top of her lungs every time Al touches the ball and it’s honestly impressive at this point.

This Celtics' defense is like one of "Dads vs. Kids" games at the end of the rec league season party on the one possession when the Dads try.
