Fire walk, we trail blazin'
Burn to the next destination
Flexin' on this world exploration
Teamed with the best in the nation
Yes, and who that be?
Custom design fine rhymes into salary
All the way from T-Dot to the Van City all stars
Rude boys freak you like a fantasy, word up

Off we burn to the next destination after last night's romp in Toronto, teamed with the [almost] best in the nation. Because Florida won last night as well, we remain two points back of first place. So tonight we go all the way from T-Dot...not as far as Van City, but to Edmonton (well, Boston, but it works better with Edmonton) to get two more points. Facing McDavid & company on a back-to-back won't be easy--the Oilers are playing great hockey right now, riding a four-game winning streak into the Garden. Love what I'm seeing from Morgan Geekie these days, and it was great to see DeBrusk score his first goal since the Obama administration. With Ully expected back in the pipes, it's an opportunity to shake off whatever has been ailing him of late--our Swedish Chef has not won since Feb. 8, going 0-4-1 with an .874 GAA in that time. What better way to get back on track than to win the second half of a back-to-back?

To paraphrase Lou Brown in the otherwise forgettable sequel, Major League II, "OK, we won a game yesterday. If we win today, it's called 'two in a row'. And if we win again on Thursday, it's called a 'winning streak'. It has happened before."

7:30 EST / 5:30 MST start. NESN/ESPN+ for those of us in the States, SportsNet/Sportsnet+ in Canada. WIN.

The B’s brought their A game last night. No reason they can’t do it again tonight… Am I right?! F yes I Am. Get some Dawn soap and degrease the Oilers!

306, row 14
Same D as last night. May be nothing, may be something but this will be 3 out of 4 of Wotherspoon over Forbort. 1 was for disciplinary reasons.

Top 3 forward lines stay the same. Call up coming for the 4th line (they sent. McLaughlin down)

Just switched back to the game as penalty called on EDM and Jack said, "pound me through a tiny hole."
Someone, anyone, please provide some context before I burn my television.

Brick and Jack were discussing Rod Langway’s hometown and Jack had it wrong, Brick corrected Jack and then Jack, possibly allowing himself a Freudian slip, made the “pound me through a tiny hole” statement. Saying that hopefully Rod Langway wouldn’t “pound him through a tiny hole” for having his hometown wrong. Whatevah turns you on Jack

Game so far is just kind of a slow grind without much grind…. Bs hanging in there, some off plays, some good plays. Probably due to late arrival back from the Grand Torino this morning. Good thing Edmonton is kinda flat as well.

Yeah, this one feels like it’ll be a slog. But I’ll take a slog if it comes with two points.

Along with others, I thought this game was going to be a bit more explosive, as it were. But what the hey. It may change suddenly.

Brazeau might be the least smooth skater I’ve ever seen in the NHL, but I find him quite enjoyable as he gets himself to the right place and puts the puck in dangerous places consistently.

Edit: Meant this in reply to Joe Dokes (and I am showing my own rookie inexperience:) )

Yep, I gotta remember he’s a rookie, and yes he does fine for a while and then makes a horrendous play
