With a lineup this weak… would it make more sense to at least stack the productive hitters rather than spread them out with .350 OPS guys in between every .750+ OPS guy?

The guys on the radio started talking about players whose last names start with Ren.
The one of them says folks when you watch 13 unearned runs this is what you are reduced to.
Good god this awful.

I have a novel idea. STOP buying tickets. Stop going to games. The only way they are going to make a better effort to put a decent product on the field is if it hurts their bottom line.
Too many tourists (not most games but this weekend certainly)
Too many people buying $ tour tickets

They do have O’Neil and Casas back to back but Reyes in the 2 hole is just asinine. (Prom night)

Yeah, agree that he plays big role in the focus and mental toughness

Also, Cora is one constant over the years or horrid defense. He’s certainly not helping
After the whole pitch signaling thing I didn’t want Cora retained/brought back. I don’t think I’ve seen anything to really alter my perception that he doesn’t bring as much to the table as so many baseball peeps say that he does.

I don't have the game on. Too painful, anyway in the middle of a riveting novel.
Just want to say that Cora has nothing to do with injuries to Story, Pivetta, Devers, and nothing to do with the inadequacy of subs like Hamilton and Reyes.
This is a front-office problem.
When they were playing well out West, was that Cora's doing?
The whole team has fallen apart owing to injuries and inadequate depth. It's really sad.

I wanted Cora gone because he was part of the management team that flew the plane into the ground 2 years in a row. Plus, I think Breslow should be able to choose his guy. We heard two weeks ago that everything was going to be different, well it's not. I know the Story injury is a killer but the team is just awful defensively in the infield and that's supposed to be something he is an expert on.

I’m with you fam. Been riding it since 2020
To me, the only reason to keep him around is that he’s (sadly) one of the bigger names on the team. Until they get better or at least more exciting players, we may be stuck with him because he somehow draws fans / generates interest

I personally don’t care about any of that and I would be more interested if he was gone, but maybe we’re the outliers

He (well Bailey mostly) has them overachieving.

Surely to God players who have made it to the AAA level should have mastered the basic fundamentals of playing defense. So it can't be they don't know how to field, it must be something like lack of concentration and/or poor mental strength.

Many years ago, I got a ticket to see the Astros play in the Astrodome because I bought french fries from some fast food place.
There are like 7367372726 businesses in Tampa and Orlando where if you buy something you get 2 tix to Rays games

And Reds as of 2021 and before (Sw OH/N KY)

A note of some interest - Fritz Peterson died. He was involved in one of the most interesting trades in baseball history.
