I know that we often rail against the organization's team building strategy, but the fact that in the past few seasons we've been able to add the likes of Whitlock, Winckowski, Pivetta, Bernardino, Slaten and Weissert to the major league roster these past few years as well as Valdez and Abreu for very little has been very encouraging.
Rule 5 pickup by the Mets from the Rangers. The Sox traded a ml pitcher plus money for him.
His was the least of the baserunning issues too, but it’s just overall they really are making things hard on themselves up and down the lineup. This feels like it should be more than a 2-run lead.
