IMO, the Guardians play a distinctly watchable brand of baseball. A very fun team. I hope they win the central.
The Rays get all the attention of being the smart, scrappy, small market team, and although the Rays are in a tougher Division (certainly competing against teams with more resources) the Guardians have been impressive as well. Since 2016 both have won 90+ games 5 times and made the playoffs 5 times with 1 World Series loss.
He’s thrown 92 pitches and gave up just two baserunners. I don’t expect him to throw 120 or anything but it’s really too much to ask for him to finish the inning? Guy needs one more out.
If Kutter Crawford pitched for another team, people would spend whole threads on the main board trying to figure out how to trade Nick Yorke for him.
I think if he had any sort of cushion, he probably gets that chance. However, it looks like this game might come down to 1 bad pitch.
I said this before the season started - he’s going to be good this year and is exactly the kind of guy we’d want the Sox to get.
