This would be a better troll if it made more sense, but that's ok.We could skip the end of the season rush and do that
Your opinion of me is, once again, duly noted.

You were just in the way of a mudpie ... i barely looked at the post i was quoting, never mind knew who posted itThis would be a better troll if it made more sense, but that's ok.

It was foresight for many here. After really exerting himself to get #400 and then pitching terribly yesterday, it seemed like an unnecessarily risky move today. That’s 20-20 hindsight. If he goes 1-2-3 and fights the ship, no one is complaining. But the result is the problem.
It was a joke.I'm hoping our lead will be sufficient that he won't be needed, but if needed he won't be used since he's been used two days in a row in which he's thrown a number of pitches.
Join the clubMy jokes aren't working today.
Of course it's hard to prove. But my point isn't really that he blew the save last night. It's how he pitched. But is Martin or Schreiber less risky, just because Jansen blew the save last night? That seems hard to prove.
It does seem odd that Cora let Sale go 8 and throw 110 pitches….yet turn the 9th to the guy who pitched yesterday when Martin and Schreiber didn’t.
I don’t disagree. They did have Schreiber warming and I thought they were going to him for the ninth. Cora changed his mind.It was foresight for many here. After really exerting himself to get #400 and then pitching terribly yesterday, it seemed like an unnecessarily risky move today.
Yes, I’m just asking if how a guy pitches on Friday predicts anything about how he will pitch on Saturday. He has a long career of being excellent on 0 days rest.Of course it's hard to prove. But my point isn't really that he blew the save last night. It's how he pitched.
It’s like WEEI in here.Wasn’t everyone gaga over Kenley like two days ago?
Not unless you return the $420 dollars I've paid youI went last night and today. I’m going to game 7 tomorrow.
Hold me….
It's not so much that as it is that nothing is funny right now.It was a joke.
My jokes aren't working today.
Who would play SS?Just braindead managing with Jensen. He’s throwing 6 MPH slower than normal, something ain’t right dude what are you doing?
Also, Kike at short has to be done. Use him as a backup outfielder or just get him off the roster.
Yes, he has a long career being excellent on zero days rest. What I don’t know, and I’m not going to dive into, is how excellent he has been on zero days rest after being absolutely terrible in the first game.Yes, I’m just asking if how a guy pitches on Friday predicts anything about how he will pitch on Saturday. It seems quite likely, given the lack of control, that he’s still hurt. But Bushy and the training staff should know that, right?
Now what am I going to do with all these Nepalese rupeesNot unless you return the $420 dollars I've paid you
It was close to working - it's just too early to say if I'm dumb & wrong or dumb & right lolYou were just in the way of a mudpie ... i barely looked at the post i was quoting, never mind knew who posted it
Unless someone Kerrigans you in your driveway…I went last night and today. I’m going to game 7 tomorrow.

Would have been nice to figure that out after the first two violations. What in the hell do we have a pitching coach for?Jansen admitted in the postgame PC that the Cardinal batters tricked him into those quick-pitch violations by feigning readiness while keeping one foot out of the box.
he goes 6. cora is going to be talked to about his bullpen use after this game. we'll see schreiber do what he does and martin will get the save.

It’ll probably be dealt with non-foul/foul calls in the last two minutes of basketball games — we know we screwed up, sorry!I didn’t watch today because I usually step away for a day or two after infuriating losses and last night fit the bill. Looks like I would’ve been in a position to break something if I watched today. Impression I’m getting is that the cardinals gamed the rules to illicit clock violations and I’m just so glad that’s a thing now.
This. I mean what are you supposed to do, bring a deck of cards and play solitaire until the 8 second mark hits? The way the rule is set, it lets batters completely dictate the routine of the pitcher. I could see if the pitcher was actually beginning to pitch, but getting penalized for just standing there and being ready is insane. This is why people are afraid of making drastic changes to the game. You end up with this. You should be allowed to come to the set anytime you want within the pitch clock time limit. You can’t PITCH until the batter is ready, but once he’s ready, you should be able to throw. If that means you are in the set position for five seconds, so be it.
Going to hold you in the basement in the gimp outfit.I went last night and today. I’m going to game 7 tomorrow.
Hold me….
It's the big leagues, teams have been working the rules to find a competitive advantage since forever. However the rule is written, there's bound to be some smart guy who's gonna find a way to push the envelope. Sometimes they go too far [cough] trashcan. If that’s the case that asshole Manfred needs to step in immediately and change the rule so that no one can use the rule to gain a competitive advantage. The rule was meant to pick up the pace of play. Nothing more, nothing less. It shouldn’t be a factor in the outcome of a game!
I don't necessarily expect Cora to predict how any reliever will pitch before the fact, but there's basic shit that can give important clues. Did the guy just have a monumentally emotional experience a couple of days ago? And then suck ass immediately following? (Yes, and yes).Yes, he has a long career being excellent on zero days rest. What I don’t know, and I’m not going to dive into, is how excellent he has been on zero days rest after being absolutely terrible in the first game.
This is what we all need after 2 nut punch losses.Going to hold you in the basement in the gimp outfit.
I’m going to the game in that outfitGoing to hold you in the basement in the gimp outfit.
We should do it in the game tomorrow.Would have been nice to figure that out after the first two violations. What in the hell do we have a pitching coach for?
Have someone warming and ready to pull as soon as eligible. How could he react at that point? Kenley has to face 3 batters
This is so important to you that you needed to post it in two different places? I'd rather they not make bad baseball decisions and try to win today's game instead.Contreras should get one in the ribs today.
I shouldn't have posted it in the other thread and tried to edit the post to be deleted before it was replied to. And you are correct. This is so important to you that you needed to post it in two different places? I'd rather they not make bad baseball decisions and try to win today's game instead.
