It’s 279 miles to the left field corner of the stands in Fenway so if the ball had gotten there I think it is an inside the park home run no matter what route Schwabs takes.

Pitchers have figured out they can stop the clock if they ask for a new baseball. Seems like if they do it sparingly they can get away with it. Maybe it is ump dependent but this guy is allowing it even if the ball has not bounced.

They can but the ump has discretion over whether he thinks they are stalling. I don't think they will fuck around with it too much.
