Well, that was a pretty awful outcome of the pitcher change. It actually surprised me, but I don't feel like an expert, so I didn't second-guess.
Now it's just a matter of seeing if they can tire out Walker, which they've shown no sign of doing, and get into the bullpen.

Yes, because the base belonged to Devers on the force play. Yoshi's base there, until Devers is out, is 2nd base.

If he tagged Yoshida first, yes. When Yoshida was standing on it, it was Raffy's bag. Once he stepped on first and Raffy was out, the bag was up for grabs.

That play was interesting- I wonder if this could be a strategy to avoid a sure double play when he ball is hit to the 1st baseman by hoping to confuse the 1st baseman into stepping on first first (as instincts would instruct)

I went back and watched the play again and there is no chance Yoshida even knew what happened. He dove back to the bag because it looked like a line drive that was going to be caught.

Weird play!
