No surprise but still disappointing.

Tyms will see the field after game 4.  I like the idea of 3 WR taller than 6'3".
Ironically the best thing that ever happened to Tyms could turn out to be the suspension.

So weird.

Here
Worthy looked pretty good in limited action against the Giants. Maybe just not worth the pick?

Yeah that's not a surprise. I'm pretty disappointed in our beat writers if they are still not grasping some major caveats regarding cuttable players like Worthy and Tyms... the extenuating circumstances matter and for Worthy it was a knock against while his helps Tyms.

Ooops..should have put this here:

Globe reporting that Maneri has been cut.  No surprise.

New cuts from the Globe:

"Among the cuts so far: DLs Jerel Worthy and L.T. Tuipulotu, WR Josh Boyce, rookie OL Jon Halapio, DE Jake Bequette, LB Steve Beauharnais, TE Steve Maneri, RB Roy Finch, and DBs Shamiel Gray and Daxton Swanson, according to league sources.

The Patriots also released LBs Taylor McCuller and Ja’Gared Davis, and DB Kanorris Davis, according to boston.com’s Zuri Berry"

wow, both Davis players shocks me, to be honest, thought at least one for ST. Finch isn't a shock, but hope he can slip through to the PS.

Worthy didn't look like much to me in his brief outing, still would love it if he can slide to the PS, too, though I suspect some other team will pick him up.

No Jonas Gray in this report?

Surprised at Beauharnais; I figured Anderson getting cut made him a lock.

That might be it. Get him on the PS (under the new rules) and get the best of both worlds.

I have the roster at 61. Obvious guys left: Martin (NFI), Browner and Tyms (suspended), Morris (IR?), Manumaleuna, Cave. That still leaves 2 cuts, presumably among Gallon, the OL, Fleming / Moore / Buchanan, maybe a S.

In the 3-4 CHANDLER and NINKO were playing OLB, no? Not sure they're as thin at LB as it seems, at least in terms of playing that formation.

It'll be interesting to see how ST play out -- no Boyce, Gallon or Finch to return and no Davises. White probably returns and maybe Butler as a gunner?

Beauharnais the biggest surprise. I believe he had the communication duties on D and seemed like a semi-lock.
I wonder how banged up he was from that hit in the Giants game. If it ended up being a concussion and he was to miss a couple weeks it cost him his job.

So, what do we figure ... 2-3 players cut elsewhere wind up on the Pats opening day 53?

After Tyms broke through in game 1, was surprised they didn't trade either Boyce or Gallon for a 6th or 7th next year; it was obvious there would be a numbers crunch. Guess no takers.

Really hope they can keep at least one of the RB's, but Price's tweet doesn't help.

Shalize Manza Young reporting Chris Martin waived. Curious, as he could have stayed on NFI. Guess he can play the Super Bowl halftime show now.

His odds will go up if he agrees to share his pot.

His odds of getting Josh Gordon to sign onto the tour, likewise

If all of reported cuts are accurate, anyone keeping track how any more need to get to 53?

No truly great surprises here.  These are all the guys who have proven to not be good enough for one reason or another.  I'm also guessing that the practice squad will also have more players cut from other teams on it than players cut by the Patriots. Why put a Boyce on the PS when you can get a more promising player cut by another team instead?  That kind of thing.

Per league source, the hope is to get Finch through to the practice squad, although that might be a challenge. #Patriots

Still some Binky-hope!

Jets castoffs are shit, but really liked TE Pantale, who was cut today. Could be a PS pickup.
From watching him at BC, I don't think he's anything go write home about. Average receiving TE at best with minimal blocking skills.

Just watching the Giants game on NFL Network. Halapio was noticeably bad. You know the guy is bad as an interior lineman when you see him getting whipped on the TV feed.
