This ump, like most, is boiled ass.Two straight gifts from the umps
I didn't expect him to be a 1.400+ OPS guy when he came back, but every at bat being utterly futile right now is hard to watch.Duvall continues to suck
I'm fine with deploying your best guys when you still have a chance to win. No sense saving them and letting a lesser guy lose it for you.Jansen again in while it's still tied. So even if they do take the lead next inning, assuming they make it there, they'll have no closer.
That would be really weird.I look forward to Hamilton and Dalbec back to back in the 11th
Uhh...why not? Yoshida's spot probably won't come back to the plate anyay, and Ref's a better defender.Refsnyder stays in to play left? uhhhh.. what, Cora?
Yup, tough play but a major leaguer has to make that.Infield defense kills them again.
Casas isn't great (obviously) but that was a brutal bounce.Infield defense kills them again.
I think Wong would have thrown that guy out by feet, to the point that they probably wouldn't even have tried to steal.I didn't see every second of this, but this kid Hamilton catching seems to lack Wong's ability to throw guys out at second. Or was that not key to this loss?
Duvall's at bat. Like, holy shit.Tell me again how I can't be mad at this team?
Huh? This was on Paxton getting hurt, and Winckowski not being ready to pitch. Plus the Casas error. How the F is either of those on Cora? That's game six, maybe seven, that Cora has cost this team so far this year due to his bad managing. They'd be in the wild card with a better manager.
Because Cora left him in there for the second inning where it was obvious after the first he didn't have it. Cora screwed this upHuh? This was on Paxton getting hurt, and Winckowski not being ready to pitch. How the F is either of those on Cora?
Easy to second guess, but Wong finally gets a hit, they pinch hit Refsnyder, who cannot hit right handers, and leaves them without a good catcher in a tie game. It hurt. Wong throws that guy out.I think Wong would have thrown that guy out by feet, to the point that they probably wouldn't even have tried to steal.
You'd rather have Joe Jacques in there? Or Garza? This is a shit bullpen right now.Because Cora left him in there for the second inning where it was obvious after the first he didn't have it. Cora screwed this up
It’s insane that the manager keeps getting blamed for guys not making plays/pitches.Huh? This was on Paxton getting hurt, and Winckowski not being ready to pitch. Plus the Casas error. How the F is either of those on Cora?
You should post his 2 or 3 more times so we all know your thoughts on this.Because Cora left him in there for the second inning where it was obvious after the first he didn't have it. Cora screwed this up
Winckowski wasn't ready? Really?Huh? This was on Paxton getting hurt, and Winckowski not being ready to pitch. Plus the Casas error. How the F is either of those on Cora?
Pinchhitting for Wong was definitely a defensible move, but damn he is such a weapon behind the plateEasy to second guess, but Wong finally gets a hit, they pinch hit Refsnyder, who cannot hit right handers, and leaves them without a good catcher in a tie game. It hurt. Wong throws that guy out.
They would have a worse record than the White Sox right now if the managers were switched. Cora is getting the most out of a bad roster. The fact that they’re over .500 is a miracle, and has a lot to do with the clubhouse atmosphere that Cora creates. You'd rather have Joe Jacques in there? Or Garza? This is a shit bullpen right now.
How about that Murphy kid who came in right after Wink blew it and threw two lights out innings? How about him? You'd rather have Joe Jacques in there? Or Garza? This is a shit bullpen right now.
9 out of 10 Red Sox Consultants agree a player should be fully healthy before you DFA them. Can they just cut Duvall now? Dude is toast after that injury and isn't going to get his stroke back until August, long after no other team wants to acquire him. If it wasn't for shit injury luck in this town lately...
Are you out of your fucking mind? They have four guys who literally wouldn't be on any major league roster but the Sox right now. It's not a shit bullpen.
Isn't being on the active roster considered being healthy enough to cut?9 out of 10 Red Sox Consultants agree a player should be fully healthy before you DFA them.

It's not a shit bullpen. It's a shit manager who doesn't know what he's doing.
this should be copied and pasted into webster’s baseball dictionary under “shit bullpen”Are you out of your fucking mind? They have four guys who literally wouldn't be on any major league roster but the Sox right now.
Kaleb Ort
joe Jacques
Justin Garza
Bernandino
And that's not counting another AAA player in Murphy, plus a failed starter in Pivetta. They have three decent pitchers in the pen right now, and one of them was Winckowski.
Agreed. These mistakes are going to hurt in games like this. It was a tough play but Casas needs to make that out. And not being able to make a decent throw to second as a catcher, especially with the new rules, is an issue. The umpire screwed us in a few key spots too. It’s insane that the manager keeps getting blamed for guys not making plays/pitches.
Bernardino has been a pretty good player. 0.8 WAR, 2.53 ERA, 20:6 K/BB ratio. And he’s left-handed, and every team clamors for a lefty out of the pen.Are you out of your fucking mind? They have four guys who literally wouldn't be on any major league roster but the Sox right now.
