Again, whoever said that Pasta missed net in game 4 was like Alge Crumpler... well, take a bow!
Nevermind. I can't read.Over the past six drafts, in five years the first player drafted by the Bruins has been a defenseman. Unfortunately, except McAvoy, they all suck.
I mean, this was at least a question earlier today. I can respect the differing opinion earlier.Over a rookie who hasn’t played in a month and has played all of 10 games.
This used to be said of Krejci, too. The guy that led the Bruins in points in 2011 and 2013. At some point, the question has to be: are the middle two lines good enough. And for a long time, the answer's been no.As Hall goes, so does this team. With him, they've got the best top 6 in the league and are a possession powerhouse. If he's having an off night as he is tonight, they're back to the pre-deadline Bruins where only one line can score, the defense can't move the puck for shit, and they need a lot of power plays to beat their opponents.
Eh, that’s not true. Defensemen take longer to develop. Zboril and Vaak both look like they’re going to be solid 3/4 Dmen. Andersson was traded. It’s too early to know about Lohrei.Over the past six drafts, the first player drafted by the Bruins has been a defenseman. Unfortunately, except McAvoy, they all suck.
He was much less than fine in game 5 and has been brutal tonight. He’s hurt. It’s inexcusable to leave him out there. He’s been injured since May. He’s played fine through it. I’d make the same call. .
They are playing like ass in front of him.
He’s been given extra rest all season because when he plays more than twice in a row it acts up and he falls apart. I love Tuukka but he’s toast. He’s been injured since May. He’s played fine through it. I’d make the same call. .

if not tonight, Tampa Bay will get the job done.Potential for heartbreak in NY hasnt been this high since 10/19/04. Only way to look at this. LFG.
Please doYeah I'm out. No show in a big elimination game. It's a pattern with this team.
Don’t be precious about Rask/Krejci. Beyond that, shrug. Get heavier on the bottom 6.So here we are now, stuck in the middle. Not nearly good enough to complete, not bad enough to get high end talent through the draft. No idea where to go from here.
The Bruins absolutely dominated 5 on 5 play last game and scored four goals, and their goalie couldn’t practice that morning or move during the game, and he could barely practice today yet got the start. All the goalie talk is going to be welcomed by the 3 of 4 offensive lines that have done next to nothing, and the D thats played like garbage for the last few games.
more like an off seriesAs Hall goes, so does this team. With him, they've got the best top 6 in the league and are a possession powerhouse. NY & NYC is Rangers town. Basically, Mets/Nets/Islanders or Yankees/Knicks/Rangers for the most part.Potential for heartbreak in NY hasnt been this high since 10/19/04. Only way to look at this. LFG.
I hope Wendy's still has the baked potato on the value menu. We are winning this fucking game.Fuck this bull shit. Bruins are winning this game. Book it!
Not good enough to compete? For real? They had a 2-1 lead in the series. They lose Carlo and then McAvoy goes down from a cheap shot. NY has played well but has had a ton of help with puck luck and the refs. Tuukka has been playing hurt.So here we are now, stuck in the middle. Who’s the 2nd line center on this team next year? Coyle?Don’t be precious about Rask/Krejci. Beyond that, shrug. Get heavier on the bottom 6.
ugh - this is well said and a concern I shareSo here we are now, stuck in the middle. Not nearly good enough to complete, not bad enough to get high end talent through the draft. No idea where to go from here.
#48Bruins #46 has been directly involved with 3 Islander goals. Rask playing injured has not worked out well he is having a hard time moving his legs. Should never have been given the start.
You?Ah disappointment, like an old friend it’s returned for a visit.
What a complete catastrophe
They’re nowhere near as good as Tampa or Colorado, so yeah I’d say they aren’t good enough to compete for a Cup.Not good enough to compete? For real? They had a 2-1 lead in the series. A few bounces here and there and the Bruins would be blowing NY's doors off. That's hockey. This team is really good when they're healthy and the other stuff evens out.
Maybe as a 1b at a decent number. But he can’t play every other night in the playoffs so ...I want Tuukka back next year and I think it’s silly to turn the reigns over to Swayman just yet.
But he can barely move. He can’t skate.
It’s pretty inexcusable to start Rask today. Swayman may not have fared much better, but we’ll never know. But the play in front of him has been equally as brutal. The Bruins absolutely dominated 5 on 5 play last game and scored four goals, and their goalie couldn’t practice that morning or move during the game, and he could barely practice today yet got the start.
Seriously, what do you want? He’s basically crippled out there.
FredericWho’s the 2nd line center on this team next year? Coyle?

Coyle? Talk about disappointment.Who’s the 2nd line center on this team next year? Coyle?
I’m saying that this series is not on the goalie alone. We whiffed on several opportunities to build first period leads, and have had a slew of defensive breakdowns that led directly to goals. The Bruins absolutely dominated 5 on 5 play last game and scored four goals, and their goalie couldn’t practice that morning or move during the game, and he could barely practice today yet got the start.

Yeah I mean they had no shot to win against Tampa/Colorado/Vegas.They’re nowhere near as good as Tampa or Colorado, so yeah I’d say they aren’t good enough to compete for a Cup.
If they somehow managed to get out of this series, do you like them against Tampa? They’ve been the same thing for 4 years, the 4th-7th best team in the league that loses once they play Tampa. The one year it cleared out for them they blew it. This year they’re not even getting to Tampa. They gotta make some serious changes and stop spinning their wheels. Not good enough to compete? For real? They had a 2-1 lead in the series. They lose Carlo and then McAvoy goes down from a cheap shot. NY has played well but has had a ton of help with puck luck and the refs. A missed draft pick almost six years ago killed them?I think we're seeing the Bruins window slammed shut tonight; that 2015 first round whiff has killed them. Time for a new GM with a different outlook on team building. There are good pieces but not enough.
Totally agree. That should have set them up with the next generation of core players. And they got a young promising dud.Donnie’s legacy rightly or wrongly is those three picks in a row. He whiffed on two and DeBrusk is looking like a flameout. I think he’s a good GM but that kind of mistake leaves long term damage.
Whoever is winning lately is #1 of all with everyone.NY & NYC is Rangers town. Basically, Mets/Nets/Islanders or Yankees/Knicks/Rangers for the most part.
